Do you use your own voice for your vocals and edit it?

Or do you just use the FL Studio speech generator?

Mainly, I'm just wondering what you do to make the vocals sound like that. Because I know that even with the speech generator, it would take some editing.

@CCReed97 It's my own voice, put through Melodyne/Newtone, harmonised a little, bitspeek, delay, etc. I've never tried editing the speech generator before. Maybe it would be an interesting experiment.

I wouldn't be half as popular without it either. I do make non-pony stuff too, but it doesn't give me the same inspiration, neither does it get as much attention. I'll still keep making it though, I'm not JUST a pony musician, just primarily at the moment, because it's what I enjoy.

I recently found this song in a music archive, and have completely fallen in love with it. This truly is a masterpiece here - it's a great melody, great sound choices, great voice... not too loud or squeaky, but not dull, and just the right speed. It varies enough that it's not boring, but it doesn't lose you in the sound either.

As you can tell, I'm not exactly very technical when critiquing songs, but I just wanted to say that this is definitely one of my favorite Brony songs I've ever heard.

@cutjim Yeah, I didn't use vocal clips for ages. I just didn't know how. Just play with everything in FL, use all your free time to make silly sketches and stuff. Watch a new tutorial every time you sit and play with it, and pretty soon you'll be getting to a point where you're satisfied. Vocal work isn't a beginners thing, that's for sure. But it will come in time. You can always look up tutorials for it, but definitely get the basics of everything down first.
