@themxman13 pretty much they aren't really Zombies what happened was a mutated form of illness was spread from government facilites where they test illnesses and stuff. from there many humans were infected and mutated to look like they do in left 4 dead. their skin decays, they lose all memory of there life before and they get the urge to kill. when it comes to special infected. the infection mutated their senses, apperance, and stuff alot more. that's why they're special infected. there you go!
