Also: in some high schools, U.S. History is not a requirement. College students are so busy w/ 10 to 15 units of classes that they don't have time to think about important issues.

You know, I should be surprised that these students don't know, but given the kind of society we life in, I probably shouldn't be surprised. These college students were probably around 12 or 13 years old when the 9/11 tragedy happened. It didn't affect them personally. They spent their time watching Japanese cartoons. Also: in some high schools, U.S. History is not a requirement. College students are so busy w/ 10 to 15 units of classes that they don't have time to think about important issues.
