I agree that Neil is a great singer and songwriter but wether he could be classed as a rock and roller is a different matter. Outside of 'I Go Ape' he didn't do any rock and roll that I recall. Now with Gerry Lee Lewis there is no doubt..a rock and roller though and though and he should be known as the King of Rock and Roll...not Elvis.

In my opinion Neil Sedaka should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. However, Connie Francis and Petula Clark belong also. Petula Clark also was a co-writer of American pop hits such as Call Me and You're the One. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke anyway. It is political as to who gets in, like any other organization. I am sure many Rap singers will be getting in.

Just signed your petition and you could add another famous name to your list -The Lettermen have recorded Breakin up is hard to do (slow version) and probably others that I can't think of now. I even have records of Neil from his time in the Tokens! No-one deserves more recognition than Neil for his endless contribution to music of virtally every type!
