And those who denounced Shariati did not all belong to religious establishments and were not all Ayatollahs. Many liberal denounced and continue to denounce Shariati, many of so called Intellectual denounced Shariati, and even Mehdi Bazrgan , the father of Abdolali bazargan denounced Shariati in a letter that was made public. Later under pressure from students he retracted his denouncement but Mehdi bazargan was too jealous of any one who outshined him and Shaiati outshined many famous people.

By coming up with the idea of a religion base government. He sowed the sees of the Islamic Republic. He got it in the minds of his followers that Islam should be mixed with politics. In addition he made them think Islam was going to fix all their problems. He made an idol out of himself to be worshiped. being an Ayatollah was not god enough to educate the Muslims about Shia and its progressive role in shaping people's lives. We had many o fthese charactes in Iran and yet the dark ages of Shah and his tyranny was ruinning the lives of the country and its people by the minutes.
