For many years now greeks have greedily sucked in all of the wonderful social welfare spending programs that greek governments were specifically elected to provide. greeks also enjoyed all sort of highly socialized regulations regarding the setting of pay, working hours, working days, etc. Those things were done by the governments the greeks elected because the greeks wanted those things.
