  • I saw this song when dave played it for the first time, it was in norfolk with tim reynolds 3/26/03

  • Ray Paczkowski is the keyboardists name

  • whats the keyboardist name..anyone? anyone? help?

  • awsome song whats it about

  • awsome song!!!

  • is anybody high in here? hahaha

  • This was my first Bonnaroo. It was 6 months after my best friend Zach died. Warcath... I want you to know that my best friend played the guitar all of the time. He loved to play Dave songs. This was the last song I ever heard him play. He would have been 23 today. 11-26-08. I hope THAT makes you shake too. Rest In Peace Zach Davis and Leroi Moore.

  • i could never imagine that happening. My sorrow goes out to you, it must be tough. Believe it or not, Ive always thought about playing this song at a funeral if any of my family members passed away, it might sound weird, but its what ive thought. Im planning on doing this song at my talent show, if I do, Ill talk about your story before and explain why this is such a great song.

  • I appreciate that a lot.

  • beautifully sad is a great way to describe this song

  • hahah "is anybody high in here?...good."

  • I too was at this show.. it was my first Bonnaroo actually. And this year will be my fifth! What an amazing show this was...I still listen to it all the time and it gives me chills every single time.

  • I was at this show in the front row! Bonnaroo 2004! Best night of my life!

  • sounds like davedump hides his w sarcasm. More power to you, warcath. That was something I loved about his solo stuff. Very dark, compared to most of DMB's more obtimistic LIOG, Everyday, Pig, etc.

We are all depressed and overjoyed, sometimes in the same moment.

  • well said my friend. this has always been a particularly poignant song for me. right up there with the live in central park version of "what you are". so cathartic.

  • This is an eerily awesome song. There is a great deal of loneliness and sentimentality drawn into it. Each time I listen to it I drown in introspection shivering and shaking...

  • Calm down there warcath, no need to go all Capt. Emo on us.

  • beautifually sad, yes ...

  • What a great song. One of my favorites.
