  • F call should not be on that band !!

  • hi josh great video pleased to say your into home brew radio 1w is certanly a challange on todays bands i have found also that a simple direct conversion reciever is some times better than an all singing dancing rig on qrp as the noise from the frequency synth and other computerised ic,s can wipe out many a good qrp signal and a dc rx can be made very quite with good audio filtering

  • Hi Josh, really good video! Thanks for explaining about the kit. It's fantastic to see young people such as yourself still interested in Amateur Radio in this day of internet etc. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more videos. Hope to chat to you on air maybe one day too. 73, Craig VK3VCM Melbourne.

  • Very good mate, keep practicing the hobby!

  • WOW... Nice!

What kind of range would you expect from that?

  • Well done Josh, I too enjoy kit building, the last one being the Small Wonder Labs 80m CW transceiver.

    Keep up the good work!

  • @G4GTWantennas I used to build the Kanga Kits in the UK, but there are no companies sellind decent HF QRP kits now. I miss them! My last one was a 1w 80m CW, but I also tried making a 160m AM with VFO and altering the PA to suit on the 80m kit. We need a new kit maker in the UK with some decent projects as people get a lot of enjoyment from kits and tend to learn more.

  • @urbex2007 The problem is Josh there is no money to be made and this sort of product requires the enthusiasm of keen self learning amateurs. Sadly there is a decline in up and coming hands on engineers. Keep flying the flag for the hobby we need guys like you to keep it alive.
