The Seiken Densetsu 2 Soundtrack is my favorite Soundtrack together with the one from Terranigma.

But your mix just has tones that do not fit together at all. It doesnt sound harmonic or melodic at all. You have your own style. I appreciate that, but still I don`t really like it.

But I guess it is a matter of taste. I prefer the Version from the "Eminence Symphony Orchestra" which you can find on youtube called as "Secret of Mana - "Meridian Dance" (Eminence Symphony Orchestra)"

@knotha I have to say, I have to respectfully disagree. This is probably much more alike what the song would be like if SoM was made in the post PlayStation era, when you could play true audio and didn't have to rely on the soundchips you had in the old consoles. The orchestra one is very good indeed but it's not as much usable in a game tbh. This is game is very anime styled in that sense so too proper music would throw it off. This is just pure gold imo imo. BUt your opinion .

What.. I can hope. To me, Secret of Mana was one of the most balanced rpg in every element, of all time. From music, to smooth gameplay, graphics I still emjoy watching, battles were uninterupted and had an easy flow about them, and a very deep and flowing plot.

Most games I see now are people prioritising awesome graphics, then gameplay mechanics, bit of music, and a tiny bit of plot.

@IHaTeD2 ok, that's really weird... the middle part of the front page is just a quick summary of how it works (for artists), on the right you got a big search bar, even with clickable genres to search for. The design basically just reminds as much of a blog as YouTube does.

Ever play the follow-up prequel (Seiken Densetsu 3)? In my opinion, it outclasses SD2 in most every way, and that's obviously no small feat.

The class system was an improvement, as was the character selection, and the monster and boss designs were a bit better. And the fact that it was less pixelated was better. But I liked the combat and music of SD2 better. All in all, though, it really depends on the flavor of the month. Sometimes I prefer SD3, sometimes SD2. Recently it's been LoM and SoM.

to be fair; that was 7 years ago and in the meantime we have seen several installments due to the world of mana series; all underperforming as far as I know. Frankly, much to my dismay I dont have any hope for a revival of the mana franchise.
