@navySEALteam5 I live in the states and own a milled Bulgarian AK. It's alright. In the classic AK-47 vs. M-16 debate (AKA my dad can beat up your dad) I have found the AK-47 is better for close quarters combat but anything beyond 250-300 meters I would much rather have an M-16.
Of course the upgraded weapons are quite similar, I still stand by what I said, owning different versions of both and from publications and word of mouth.

I didn't know the gun laws in Bulgaria were so loose.

Then we have durability, minimal risk of jamming and stronger impact with the AK.
The biggest difference is mainly about how to operate the weapon, the tactic.

Have shot with lots of millitary weapons and all has advantages and disadvantage, i am personally most familiar with FNC 80 CGA5, thats the weapon I am comfortable with, but had certainly was just as safe with the other modern weapons if I had trained with them.

My favorite AK is the Bulgarian Arsenal AK (Not saying it because Im bulgarian).Im not quite sure about the M16 tho, it was shipped from the US.
Comparing the both there is not much of a difference in the accuracy but I find the AK alot better and reliable in any situation.
