Ceci n'est nullement une Jota , qui n'est ni basque, , ni navarrais, ni aragonais, pas plus espagnole que française, c'est tout simplement une Valse, avec un gars qui joue de l'accordéon...salut du Pays Basque .
@homesanto I've had conversations with many Basques. Your opinion is one among several and as far as I'm concerned you're entitled to it. I would be interested to know which traditions and aspects of language in particular of southern France are influenced by Spain however. Are you referring to the Gascon, Provençal and Languedocian languages by any chance?
@hitmonhin Bayonne is strongly influenced by Spain, Southern France as a whole in general shows Spanish influence: cuisine, bullfighting, language, traditions, people, etc.
Nice tune! but are you sure it is a jota? It looks like a waltz to me... Jotas and waltzes (valses in spanish) are both 3/4, but there is an important difference between them. Good tune though

Don't let the Basques catch you calling them Spanish-French! They won't like it. But I enjoyed your playing nevertheless.

@irateofwatford What's wrong about that? I'm Basque and I'm proud to be a part of Spain too!

I want to learn more from Bayonne. My surname is Acevedo, the founder was Arnaldo de Bayan (Arnauld de Bayonne, since he came from there).
