That should be absolutely forbidden all over the world. That was a good shot and a pretty clean kill, but in to many cases the moose will run off wounded and suffer. With a gun and a good hunter the mosse will die instantly.
@loch70 You don't have a clue about what you're talking about. Bullets tear, broadheads cut and haemorrhage a lot better (take note on how quick that moose goes down!). AND, a bad shot with a gun also results in wounded animals. I think we all know that shot placement is essential. You obviously don't bow hunt, but trust me, a lot more game is wounded with rifles....a lot.
@loch70 Well, probably because you have to be within a out 30 yards to use them. With that question we get a really good insight into your mental capacity.
@loch70 Spouting off statistics you most likely heard from another gun hunter. Well, I'd love to see the PEER REVIEWED journal article that was published with these statistics. I doubt you can produce it. See I"m an actually Biologist, that does studies, reports data and take away conclusions from that data. Not like you who just spout off. Can't wait for you to send that article!
@loch70 Even you should be able to see that this 'report' is anti-bowhunting propaganda and isn't a 'study' at all. None of the references are from peer review journals. Peer review is the gold standard and makes sure that researchers conduct valid science, of which this is not. AND, this piece of BS harps on about a report (again, not peer reviewed) from 1979-1985, far before the modern bow-hunting technology. So, in closing, you should be able to recognize this as crap. Try to be objective

The thing about guns and bows was a joke mr bowhunter....

@BowHunterSDK And btw.
Studies indicate that for every deer killed
by bowhunters at least one or more is hit and not recovered, compared to deer shot by
gun where only one out of 14 shots is not recovered. The average bowhunting
wounding rate is 54%; the average shots per kill are 14. According to the Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources
