Opps, I should've put this in my last post. Using the magic in this battle might be a developers glitch. The only way to do it is to enter the Lapis battle with zero magic points on all characters. Lapis will then not cast Lapis wave. So batman you are definitely correct that you can't use magic; you have to basically "trick" the game in order to access magic ability here. Awesome vid as usual.
@nor86 because when lapis casts lapis wave u cant get any mp so he runs 2 cancel the effect so he goes into battle with 0 mp so lapis wont use his wave he uses magic berry then Jedo to own him.
If I still remember if you equip evil medallion to a character it will drive him/her insane in a battle. The character turns red.. its no use at all..
@James14101989 Yeah I know, but even with the Chicken King, he can still attack you first before running away. When using the Spikefish Flute with the person who has the Speed Chain you're guaranteed a safe escape.
@arsetothem Simple as this. Since you have 0MP you can't replenish your MP. But after you come back, you have 0 MP, meaning Lapis won't drain your MP cap to 0. I think it's a developer's mistake? Or maybe they really did that so Lapis won't be too much. Oh and about nighto.. I'm not sure.

Jedo has 100% chance to kill. Aluru and Nighto are the ones that have only a "chance", but you can still kill Lapis using them.
this is very cool and all but i want to point out that the person who killed lapis had already achieved the best armor, all genesis trees, and level 44-45. i loved using Evil Medallion in this game and i wanted it as early as possible. i beat lapis at level 26 (before the delilas family) using luminous jewels, defender chains, and counterattack. it was rough. i used many healing items and phoenix but it was worth it to have it so early. just thought i would point that out. but excellent kill :)

@DARKKEYBLADEMASTER12 It's an extra boss battle you can do that gives you the Evil Medallion. When equipped to a character, that character is in a berserk state and uncontrollable, but they will do random arts to the enemy, up to 15 attacks. (15 arts, not 15 hits)
My only question is why you didn't do that on the next turn instead of running away and then coming back in. Doing it all in the same match would have made more sense. Good show though. I beat the big buzzard by using one character each round to replenish someone's (it didn' tmatter who) so Lapis would keep using that magic drain thing and give me a chance to pummel him. I had all three characters alive and reasonably well off after killing him too. I never thought to do what you did. Kudos!

i owned this boss on lvl 40 he was easy. I didnt cheat or hack i just put speed chain on vahn with 2 lost grails noa had war soul mettle gem and lost grail and gala had something on him all he did was spirit anyways. So i had vahn use the pint card non stop gala be a decoy and spirit and noa got her licks in when she could and soon enough lapis was dead.
It will definitely work on Lapis... because Lapis is only considered as ramdom battle enemy... the only difference is... it got a load of attacks for a normal enemy... much like the bees in Rim Elm at the start of the game (check the tree close to the beach for honey)...
but i doubt it will work on Boss... I dont think Jedo can even kill Caruban instantly with his deadly promise attack... because instant kill attacks wont affect bosses...
It works on Berserker, considering you can instantly kill him with Nighto or Aluru. You won't have Jedo for any of its forms unless you use cheats, however.
done at lvl 40 recommended lvl 50, defender chain (extremely helpful in this battle & can obtain really early ingame shops) on all chars, 2 main attackers, 1 healer every round (horn), spirit then attack. Pretty much same strategy against the delias family except u have all 3 chars in battle! u might want to give your healer that accessory that lets them go first every round. forgot wat its called

why is that in just 1hit, that jedo thing kill lapis instantly? is it its skill? if that is then, i can use jedo in any enemy like juggernaut, am i right?
Not sure where you got your information from. Without using a cheat device, the only bosses you're able to use Jedo on are Lapis and Cort, and it doesn't instant kill Cort. Assuming other bosses have their immunity flag set, then it's unlikely it will work on them as well.
You can also use it on Xain in the Beginner Course of Muscle Dome, but IIRC it doesn't instant kill him either.
well i tries using it on cort at the final battle when he unites himself with juggernaut...it did kill him instantly...i also tries playing the game using epsxe and using pec emulation cheater to obtain jedo early,..and i admit,it kill almost all the bosses i encounter instantly..well correct me if im wrong...
Sorry, but I just don't believe you. I've used even a Lv.9 Jedo against Cort and it didn't instant kill him. It just does lots of damage like the other Ra-Seru spells. As for other bosses, it's a moot point anyway since you can't use it on them on a normal playthrough.

It happens sometimes. If your character uses the magic fruit before Lapis attacks, then he'll automatically cast Lapis Wave. That's why I had Gala use the Magic fruit, since he's the slowest of the 3 and is most likely to use his turn after Lapis.
@veedabestchef , try to use only one character you wish to gain level, the other maintain them to be fainted, that character that you remained in the battle will gain all the enemies' exp, go back and faurth at the bio castle, you will level up easily
i have more fun, when i beat Lapis at 30-35 lvl's with extreme hardcore great big difficult and have satistafciotn, when this irritating retard going down :)) going for eazzzzzy way broke that game charm and mood :]
After all 3 characters are at level 99 go to Ratayu and talk toSaryu. He will give you the Evil Seru Key. Go to door whereyou first went through to see Juggarnaut for the Seru Bride thing(two guards are usually blocking it, but won't be anymore).Travel the route all the way until you reach an end pool with atreasure chest. Open it and get the Evil Tal

why is that in just 1hit, that jedo thing kill lapis instantly? is it its skill? if that is then, i can use jedo in any enemy like juggernaut, am i right?

yes,itll kill juggernaut instantly,any boss will do..i havent found any thats immune to its ability-deadly promise..

Not sure where you got your information from. Without using a cheat device, the only bosses you're able to use Jedo on are Lapis and Cort, and it doesn't instant kill Cort. Assuming other bosses have their immunity flag set, then it's unlikely it will work on them as well.
You can also use it on Xain in the Beginner Course of Muscle Dome, but IIRC it doesn't instant kill him either.

well i tries using it on cort at the final battle when he unites himself with juggernaut...it did kill him instantly...i also tries playing the game using epsxe and using pec emulation cheater to obtain jedo early,..and i admit,it kill almost all the bosses i encounter instantly..well correct me if im wrong...

Sorry, but I just don't believe you. I've used even a Lv.9 Jedo against Cort and it didn't instant kill him. It just does lots of damage like the other Ra-Seru spells. As for other bosses, it's a moot point anyway since you can't use it on them on a normal playthrough.

it not fair use jedo. hey, i beat lapis in 8-10 turns. all all u is get the point card. and buy many items. and use 9999 on him every turn it kill him easy. ur is faster, but my is very fun...

Lapis still uses Lapis Wave after i used magic fruit to one of my character to summon Jedo

It happens sometimes. If your character uses the magic fruit before Lapis attacks, then he'll automatically cast Lapis Wave. That's why I had Gala use the Magic fruit, since he's the slowest of the 3 and is most likely to use his turn after Lapis.

@veedabestchef , try to use only one character you wish to gain level, the other maintain them to be fainted, that character that you remained in the battle will gain all the enemies' exp, go back and faurth at the bio castle, you will level up easily

Insta-kills any non-boss monster 100% of the time. Apparently Lapis or Berserker didn't have the boss flag set on them though.
