hi...so im really not good at baking and valentines is approaching,, whats the diff. between a microwave oven and an oven toaster? i have the oven toaster, and im not sure what to bake,, haha,,
@sortedfood Thank you so much! I used this recipe as a base for my cooking assignment in school. We made a mango cheesecake with taro swirl and red bean sauce, with a chocolate-cinnamon crust. :)
@sortedfood u guys are so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love ur nice clean work space, your pre readied/measured supplies, and a good time with buddies!
@lindseyc0827 to be on the safe side... you can. Make sure your cheesecake tin doesn't have a loose bottom or else it'll get a soggy base. But using our method, temperatures and times and you shouldn't have too much of a problem.
@sortedfood made it without the water bath and it came out just fine! my boyfriend was very happy with the recipe, the only thing is he wants me to make him another one! .... thanks for the recipe! two thumbs up guys =)
I'm going to make this today, but there's something just popped out in my mind. Can we just spread the blueberry compote on the cheese cake after it's done? Because the fresh blueberry is kind of expensive here so yeah.. Haha :D
I've tried this recipe it turned out excellent! I didn't like any sort of cheese before, i don't like eating whatever cheesecake , I just wanted to make for my sister but ended me eating almost all of it!
I've seen some people put boiling water into a larger pan and then they put the cheesecake pan in to the water and bake it. Does that affect the baking process much?
Hi Sorted! Hope you would sitll ans this! I just baked my cheesecake with your recipe in an 9.5inch springform cake pan. I am not sure which kind of cream cheese your recipe is calling for exactly, I chose cream cheese (over cream cheese spread) and it turns out that my batter is so much more thicker than the one in your video, untill after I added the eggs it became more liquidy but not as much as yours. Also, when i poured the batter into the pan its only half way full! Whts wrong? :(
@DeathAngelsFury Yep, once it's about room temperature then store it in the fridge and eat within 2-3 days (if you can save it without scoffing it before then!)
I made this yesterday for my moms birthday :D The only problem I had was with biscuits.. When everything was baked the bottom part of biscuits crumbs sooo much :/ And when I mixed them with butter they did seem dry, but I did everything like in the recipe.. Should I put less biscuits/more butter? Oh and I used real cheese instead and mixed it until it was smooth :D
@thatshardcore1 You can do... best to dust them in flour first and then then drop them on the top just before cooking. It's just enough to stop them all sticking to the bottom but instead they become submerged. Do it with raw ones as the compote is too wet.
im going to try baking this for my mom's 49th birthday (cuz cheesecake is her favourite)... I'm such a noob in the kitchen but my best friend is going to help me >_< thanks for the recipe!
I made cheesecake from this recipe but i grated some chocolate at the base and added the fruit caramel on top of the cheese filing with some chocolate flakes and it came out amazing. Also i put lesser caster sugar :D. Thank you so much for this recipe, this is the easiest recipe I tried and it was delicious, everybody enjoyed it!

@KarismaParekh You'd be either a lactarian or a vegan if you couldn't eat eggs and sadly there is no alternative to eggs which will work in exactly the same way. You can, though, try flax seeds, bananas, silken tofu or egg substitutes (such as Ener-G egg replacer).
