@clayguy1 Your last sentence shows the disconnect Republicans have with reality. First you say the government doesn't create jobs, then you say the only jobs being increased are government jobs. Over the last 9 months the private sector has had a net gain in jobs. The government has actually decreased jobs while the private sector has made small gains. I didn't ask them to prove their argument, I did my own research, and found that yes they would be better, but the distance and charging time would bring this country's businesses to a halt. I found that by my own researching and using my brain. You might try that. No, it's up to you to find answers, not up to me to give them to you. Americans want to cut spending, just not on things like defense, social security and Medicare, which is basically all the government spends money on. I think all the actual jouirnalists in this country could fit in a minivan with room to spare. The problem is the redistribution is going from the middles class and poor and moving directly to the ultra wealthy. It's funny how the right-wing knob-heads yap on about the evils of redistribution of wealth, but they think it's just peachy that the ultra-wealthy are literally making millions off the rest of us.

If the so-called "liberal" media covered anywhere near Tea Party coverage, we might have had a chance... votes may have actually known that Obama didn't raise taxes (in fact, he cut them), that death panels don't exist, that the bailouts were successful despite what Fox says.
