ya theres 4 huge slides and just a lil advice go on the one with the whirlpool but if your shoulderblades stick out alot DO NOT go on the orange one because it shreds them and its the only one that u can go your back so it sucks , each slide takes about one minute or maybe a lil more either way the waterpark is easily the best deal in oregon for a waterpark and the most fun . btw just went there last month SO FUN
The water park IS big enough to occupy a family for a whole day -- it's not just a water park -- there's also a water museum there as well, which the $30 gets you admission to (and you won't find any water parks in the NW that are $30 or less -- it's actually a great deal, especially since it's educational as well as fun). There are also play structures, a wave pool (most kids I know could spend a whole day just in the pool!), a place to eat lunch, stuff like that. It's worth the thirty bucks!
@ImNotGoingtobePC Um. No. I'm not sure why you're being kind of hostile about it, but no, I don't think it should be $1 to get in. I just wasn't expecting those kinds of prices, I figured it would be closer to $20 per kid. It's okay though, my kids like the city pool and the fountains at Discovery Park. My oldest 2 have asked if they can go, so perhaps my husband or I can even just take them and wait until my youngest is a little older.
@ Kids315: I saw an email that someone posted on the News Register's article about the opening that invited people for $10 during certain hours and days all this week, but the New Register clarified that Evergreen said it was not meant to be a public invitation. I read the email before they deleted part of it, and it seemed like it said it could be forwarded on to anyone, so I don't know for sure. Maybe you can call and ask the Water Park, you might be able to get your family in for less!
@MHutchings100 Yes, I am getting into the $10 discount deals myself, but it is very strictly not to be advertised, as they don't want a flock of people there. On certain days, if you participate in certain events, or somebody you know participates in a certain event (4H, FFA, Boy Scouts, etc.) you can email a lady (it says which one in the email) for the original copy of the email. Print off the original copy and bring it in on the correct day and you can get in for $10.
Too bad that their prices are so high, it looks like it could be fun! I have 3 kids, ages 5, 7 and 9. Since they are all above 42", it will cost $150 for my whole family to go to a water park that isn't large enough to occupy the kids for more than half the day. That just isn't a feasible expense for us, or a lot of other people in McMinnville right now :(
@Kids315 it wasnt built for just people in mcminnville,, and you know what i cant afford a ferrari either, so i dont have one. you probably think that the government should subsidise this so its like $1 to get in.

I don't have kids, but I agree that $30 seems a little steep. Maybe their "off season" prices will be a little more affordable.
