  • Youve got 2 many freetime...no joke relly great work! I really really like it! ^.^

  • Christ....you are SICK with that pen tool...How long did it take to complete this?

Also, what is an alternative way to doing this? Scan image, then use Auto trace/paint?

  • blew my mind into a billion pieces! really really really cool! How long did that take?

  • so sick man! im so jealous of your skills!

  • Oh My Fucking God! amazing

  • Really great!! thanks for sharing!

  • Thats just CRAZY! Thanx for inspiration!

  • what tool are you using to color the artwork once you have penned it out?? it is two spaces under the eyedropper with your setup...i can't tell...i have been using live paint, but i hate trying to figure out gradient fills with live paint...your method seems to give you more control on gradients/their direction...what is it that you use or if is is live paint, how did you do that?

  • Did u use gradient tool in the curves

  • impresive work!! how many time did it take you?

  • Sos groso loco. Deberias hace run tutorial de esa cosa. esta padrisimo. Felicitaciones. saludos desde Ecuador

  • holy moly

  • are u using any kind of brushes to give the shapes that organic feeling? cuz one second they are just gradients but then the tones mix way different and there are very thin lines in some of them i want to know how is that done or what technique it seems legit!

  • Yo, u DID that!!

  • Good video but how did you do the colour gradients within the line art?

  • what is that thing from the begining that lined the draw?

  • I am very happy to see the vidoe from you, hopefully the others also are happy for You Digital Art in Illustrator CS4

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Digital Art in Illustrator CS4

  • sick. great job

  • love the design, but find the coloring a bit flat, i'm not dissing your style, just think you could have done more with the piece. perhaps a cooler color on the back would make it more 'pop'

  • between 3:38 and 3:39 there seems to be a bit of the process left out. From flat to "magic." The texture in the "post 3:39" phase is absolutely astounding.

  • I want to learn how to do this so bad! do use a Pen or just a mouse?

  • What software did you use to record the screen capture process?

  • This is absolutely insane.... I'm obsessed

  • nice! Needs much better music though

  • This is really amazing. It makes me want to get my butt in gear and create something awesome!

  • Crazy pen work.. Like the skills bro

  • :O

  • You're a pro & I'm so jealous :(

  • ペンツールがうまい…

  • It would be nice if you explained how you did this. Music sucks

  • Wow, fantastic!!

  • Thanks for this video - amazing!

  • sick man

  • dope track!

  • Nice Work. One of the best I have seen as far as Color goes and creativeness.

  • I'm not very good with choosing colors. How do you know to use the gradient tool here, and maybe fading from one color to another there?

  • You could have saved yourself some time by using artbrushes for some of the swirls. They're not perfect but they do save time. I use them a lot and I set hotkeys to converts the strokes to paths and to clean up any empty paths and points afterwards. Also, I don't know if you did this in the video but when you select multiple objects then use the gradient tool then all object get the gradient so it looks blended.

    Anyway, awesome design.

  • *mouth wide open in amazement drooling onto keypad* O_O

  • Holy shiiii- Great inspiration, you should make a tutorial man!

  • gonna to use this video to get inspired to get good with illustrator....mad props

  • @TheOliviarulesthewar yeee the video its to fast :(

  • Respect on the illustration and choice of music.

  • How do you make the lines so easily with the pen tool? After every curve I do with the pen tool the next click has a curve in it that I don't want so I have to adjust it every time and it doesn't look like you had to do that at all. Is there a certain thing that you have to choose so it doesn't do that? By the way awesome job on all of the art!

  • @iDeathFX In short, you need to experiment with utilizing the 'Alt key' when drawing your path. It allows you to quickly adjust the bezier curve as you're drawing. Check out a pen tool tutorial on youtube and you'll see what I mean.

  • @BmoreStyles alright thanks! I'm taking a class for Adobe Illustrator and I don't remember if we were informed about that or not but I'll definitely have to test it out when I have class again.

  • @iDeathFX Mastering Bezier curves (aka Pen Tool) is not so easy. At 2:52 the large orange swirl, you lay down ur anchor points first, go back & adjust them by using the white arrow tool. Select the anchor point with white arrow tool then use Alt for PC, Option for Mac, to adjust the curve. Mastering the Pen Tool is vital & one of the most difficult skills in Ai. Practice & practice.

  • @iDeathFX (continued) you don't need to lay it down perfectly on the first pass. Lay down your points near perfect on the first pass, then adjust them. It's important not to have too many anchor points. An expert like Bmore can lay down a swirl (like the one at 2:52) with less than 18 anchor points.

  • Song name plzzz !!

  • i love it.. until 3:40 after that.. i hate it..

  • love the music and visuals, thanks

  • do you use a wacom tablet or are you just gifted with a mouse ? just curious .

  • @oHHSooKinKyyy

It's quicker with a mouse to be honest... vector art is btter with a mouse and more accurate. Leave tabs for image editors and paint programs. The process in this video is very time-consuming but worth it in the end...

  • Very impressive man.. WOW

  • Thats Amazing..

  • man you're an artist, you should make more of these inspiring videos, grow a youtube channel and get $

  • very cool effect :)

  • you're the guy Creatively Crazy in DeviantART, right??

    wow man, you're really good!

  • Great skill with the pen tool but why didn't you live trace the scanned image? That would have saved time.

  • @caglebagl It takes all the fun out of it, and the results aren't as good as the pen tool.

  • @caglebagl tracing sux. manual is manual...

  • @caglebagl live trace? like with a tablet?

  • nice pen magic there! jealous

  • That is amazing.

  • but you´re such an artist :B

  • i don´t like this music!! :(

  • Wow! Great graphics, but noise was awful

  • That's mint!!! Looks pretty psychedelic. Good choice of tune too!

  • thats insane

  • Is this considered abstract? What makes something abstract anyway? :-)

  • I like you

  • Can You repost this video in regular speed? =D

  • Awesome! :) kinda makes me wana get back into my art :p

  • @BmoreStyles Wow that's very artistic. Where did you happen to go to school, or did you teach yourself? Have you had any job offers in the Graphic Design field?

  • @MrLapinga69 Art Institute of York, PA. But tutorials and practice is how I got to where I'm at. And yes I've had success as a designer. I've been very fortunate to have had a job in the field since the day I graduated.

  • such an inspiration

  • How do you get points like that? I try to and it keeps coming out round like a circle…

  • Wow that is insanely amazing you have inspired me. I can't do an awesome job as you but you have definitely inspired me and motivated.

  • I'm without words for this creation... Simply crazy.

  • at 3:39 it all the sudden looks 3d is that just drop shadow? what effect is that?

  • @Divers1ty No it's just strategically placed radial gradients giving the illusion of light bouncing off which gives it depth.

  • Interesting to see how it's made. Amazing work.

  • Espectacular!

  • WOW! Simply amazing! I wish I could make art like that. :-) Love the song by the way.

  • wow, i think the swirl is good enough without the women(^_^)...nice job there... 4 thumbs up(^_^)

  • How many hrs/days u finished this?

  • @reyeferrera I don't remember, but probably about 6-8 hours over a few days.

  • So do you draw the picture, scan it in and then use the draw tool to go over the outline???

  • @andrwleong Yes.

  • Wow that is amazing. i think if you reduce the speed of the video will be work a little bit as a tutorial ate least to get some steps. I guess you know by now that you are incredible talent. Thanks for sharing your video

  • this is just amazing bro

  • REAL COOL

  • hey where u got the pic from?

  • @MrYaseen100 I drew it.

  • hey very nice..i notice u are very good with the pen tool..please make a tutorial on how to use it

  • @MrYaseen100 Youtube is already full of great tutorials, there's hundreds of videos on the pen tool, alone. I'd be glad to help explain any advanced techniques but I don't have time to make video tutorials.

  • @MrYaseen100 Youtube is already full of great tutorials, there's hundreds of videos on the pen tool, alone. I'd be glad to answer any specific questions but I don't have time to make video tutorials.

  • @BmoreStyles Hi, can you please recommend me a one video that is very helpul? Thanks.

  • @MrYaseen100 Type in the search bar, "Pen tool tutorial illustrator." If you're not able to find video tutorials on your own, Photoshop and Illustrator probably aren't for you. Best of luck.

  • aztek symbol for act to speak

  • thanks! :)

  • im a new illustrator noob but how do you fill the shapes with color at 1:38?

thanks! and this is a kick ass design btw :)

  • @treehuggerlikesnoopy I used a gradient. You select the shape and change the fill from a solid to a gradient, and then if you hit "G" after you've filled it with a gradient, you can click inside the shape and drag the direction you want the gradient to go. You can also open up your gradients window to change it to a radial gradient and reverse it and so forth.

  • great but not very helpfull

  • Weeeeed.

  • wow you're so amazing !

  • how did you do that part at like 3:38 where you made it look 3D? I'm trying to learn how to use Illustrator and do cool effects

  • @MynahProductions I believe you're referring to the white stroke I apply around the outside of the colored portion? If so, you can see where I draw a thin, pointy tipped stroke with the pen tool around 2:16, then with the shape selected go to brushes palette on the right and click the "New Brush" icon at the bottom of it. Then select "New Art Brush" from the menu, mess with settings, then just select it from the palette and draw paths, or you can select a path and apply it to that, as well.

  • Great job! Thanks for sharing.

  • thanks for using our music fam!

  • "...One of the most abstract cats with the crab scratch."

Love your sound. Thanks for doin what you do.
