  • Didn't this guy get kicked out for failing the piss test

  • fuck this hipster pussy piece of shit

  • And Obama has the fucking CHEEK to act like he gives a shit about torture.

  • God if that was torture....., what about the other side beheading and bloddy ways of treating their prisoners, this guy was a soldier or a boy scout . We all know that the right treatment of prisioners is a must but seems always one sided . he never saw war and those who were detainees under combat, there is something missing in this guys declaration

  • @fish1597

the other side as u put it do not claim 2 be champions of freedom and democracy.

this guy knows the full story he was a guard more than u will ever know.

most of the detainees still held there are not been charged with any crimes and yet they are tortured u don't see anything wrong with this picture?

some detainness have been released without charge after spending years in a cage been tortured ,they missed out on big chunk of their lives and children's lives.

    u support

  • @lail111 take care of ur own home first u filthy pig and then talk about the world.

  • @fish1597

u support imprisonment without trial?what happened to innocent t'ill proven guilty.

all u care about is what about the other side.

what's this scoring points?if u don't trust this guy's testmony there are plenty others mainly from the ex guantanamo bay prisoners who have been held without trial and without charge for years.

    research!

  • @lail111 i dont know about you but if i see someone being mistreated i will intervine and say something when it happens, not when i am out of there . It tells me the kind of person that mr.chris arendt is. In the military there are ways to fight this kind of behavior.I also know alot of good soldiers that will question the veracity of what he is saying specially under the microscope of the whole world , since anything that happens in gitmo will be on the news, I really question his intentions.

  • @lail111 i see your point of innocent people, but you also have to accept the reality that many that left gitmo went back to fight and they were recaptured or killed. I is far from perfect but there is a lot of caution taken to get any of these prisioners . I dont think all are guilty but the great mayority were in a war zone doing something that was considered fighting.I dont condone the US but on the other hand when by comparison i look at north korea ,russia, china and others,i see them worst

  • @lail111 the Us are far from perfect but thru the years i seen in comparison more caution using the armies than the others, maybe you should also look at what others are doing and not being reported or used as propaganda. Is a shitty world out there and the are a lot of bad players. I know youve picked your side and i have picked mine lets hope we are both wrong and something good comes from this confusing world. Are you old enough to remember the cold war?

i do and it was scary......

  • He sure doesn't look like a soldier...I would like his enlistment photo.

  • You're saying he doesn't look like a soldier but he doesn't look like a liar either. Remember they never said he was a soldier, they said "he worked at the camp at just 19". That's my age, and many kids look like that.

  • "In my unit" was he in a work force "unit" he is insisting he was a soldier.

  • Fine, than maybe he was >_>

Like I said he doesn't appear to be lying. He really doesn't seem like the type to have motive to lie either. What for? To say something we all know is true? That people get tortured at Guantanamo? We all know that, it's old news. You're forgetting about the picture evidence that came from that. That's the smoking gun already.

  • THE PROBLEM I ALWAYS HAVE HAD WITH TORTURE IS TIHS:

how do you know if by torturing someone you are making them confess to truth they know, or if they are only lying to you to make you stop torturing them by telling the torturer what he wants to hear the victim confess?

  • torturing prisoners is a crime by the geneva convention... get bush to den haag!!

for americans, lesson from history: you are next!!

in the beginning it was the jews, than the comunists, than the academics, than the democrats, than the liberals... in the end who ever wanted freedom...

  • Honor, morals, principles, humanism, seems all lost in this day and age. There are people who must pay for their crimes, and if not them, their children. America must make an example of itself to the world if there is ever to be freedom and peace.

  • do you think they will?? i don`t... looks like obama is not interested in justice... he looks in the future :-) and have more troops in afghanistan

  • bush will never be in den hag. he will be treated like royalty for the rest of his life, living in posh hotels, riding in expensive cars, eating expensive food. if you think bush or any of his gang will be taken to court then you need a reality check. nice guys finish last. dont forget it.

  • the outcome of this issue depends on the american public oppinion... if the preassure on obama would be bigger anything is possible... point is: to let bush get away with warcrimes, would create a precedent for all politicians/presidents!! noone is above the law... if not, you have tyranny/dictatorship and i don`t think any american would like that!! so it is also a key issue on the future of american liberties and political system... sure not everybody undertands that!

  • They dont want us dead the want our terrorist government dead, big difference.

  • Most educated people will read the title of this video about "psychotic gitmo guards" as being evidence of CIA brainwashing techniques.

FEAR the government! It doesn't have anyone's best interests at heart.

  • It's an issue about human rights violations and secret government training protocols intended to create an environment of coercion, intimidation, degradation under abusive physical and psychological conditions. It's not about the soldiers and marines who blindly follow illegal orders they are given. But the nature of the conduct reflects a wider pattern of government illegality which shames a decent democracy.

  • f.e.m.a.camp.

  • He didnt think they had info, how assuring! A shitbird who probably spent his every minute trying to get out of the military and didnt get along with his peers is now an intel expert according to the media. How typical of the "news".

  • He's not an expert. Clearly he's a first hand witness. His personal military performance isn't at issue. What is at issue is an utterly corrupted and immoral judicial process using Guantanamo to violate every civil right a democracy is established to defend. God bless people of conscience like him, and God damn the kiss asses who perpetuate the abuses.

  • first hand witness

Alot has come out about him. Fellow recruits described him as a "suicidal shitbitbird", fellow MOS trainees agreed. He hardly ever showed up for drills when attached claiming he was gay and needed to get out. He didnt get along with any of his peers and was known to make shit up to get others in trouble because he thought he could trade testimony for a separation. While deployed he acted the same way. These are facts that matter when considering the merit of testimony.

  • It's kinda dumb to assert this "witness" has a need to make things up when guantanamo is already under indictment for legalized definitions of "torture." As to the merit of his particular "testimony" what is relevant about it at all is not his personal merit, but rather the corroborative substantiation he lends to the hundreds of documented abuses alleged by the inmates and their lawyers.

  • alleged by the inmates and their lawyers.

Inmates and lawyers allege alot of things, funny how you grant them the assumption of truth while never bothering to listen to Marines and soldiers who arent shitbirds.

    corroborative substantiation

All of which he could have read about on far left wing web sites. He is getting revenge, truth isnt something the vindictive are known to cling to.

  • Thank god its almost over with. Didnt Pres. Obama sign a thing saying it would be closed within this year or somethin? I hope so. I really believe the USA should be unished for Warcrimes. By USA i mean the people responsible for this BS. Im not saying all Americans should be punished. definately not. but i think the public should have the responsibility of knowing what there governemnt has been doing..,..

  • yeah but also a friend in a sister unit who just came back from gitmo said they have ps3's and huge ass tvs, whatever food they want and the best healthcare. i dont believe this joker. and honestly. they are frigging terrorists in case people havent noticed. they want us DEAD and people cry because they are interrogated.. boo hoo

  • I was deployed to GTMO with Arendt and he is a suicidal liar.

  • he is a suicidal liar.

He looks like one too. Was he the angry, lonely gay kid? He just screams that vibe out like a fire engine.

I can tell he didnt get along with his peers too well based on the way he harps on them.

Chances are he was the shitbird in basic too, his platoon must have more than a few stories to tell about him. Every platoon has one and I can tell by looking and listening to him that he wasnt exactly Chesty Puller.

  • I met this guy briefly. He has amazing courage & humanity.

If more of our 'brave boys' had the balls to speak out for truth & justice - & the soul & intelligence to recognise the difference between monstrous MANIPULATED EVIL & true duty - then war would be fought for JUSTICE - not GREED & LIES & primitive hatred. A real soldier should know the difference.

Or were the Nazis just being good boys as they pushed women & children into gas chambers.

We need real warriors, not soldierboys

  • I love listening to everyone talking about the poor prisoners and the inhumane treatment they are receiving but no one can give a viable solution as to what we should do with them. And thanks cris, Im glad in your position as a prison guard you didn't think that they didn't have an valuable information to offer.

  • Thanks so much to Chris Arendt for speaking out. We need more people like him. Very brave

  • Except for the fact that Chris Arendt is a liar and he has mental issues. I should know because I was there with him and he was in my unit.

  • Keep in mind I'm Canadian, so I can't say much to the actions of US Soldiers in a US War.

But so what? In that war, America wants to keep the moral high ground right? They want to keep their values? I hope that a country so close to mine doesn't ever decide to fight terrorists by becoming a lot like terrorists.

  • Same. Im A Canadian also. America has become terrorists. Bombing civilians every day, killing innocent civilians. what did hitler do? he killed innocent civilians for the greater good of germany. America kills innocent civilians for the greater good of the country. Its genocide!

  • America has become terrorists

We didnt convert and submit to the world majority religion, how dare we! Spiritual bullshit forced upon the masses by way of tolerance orientated laws is a sure sign of a free Canadian people. I agree really. We should become as progressive as you and adopt wide reaching "hate speech" laws that bring an end to those evil FASCIST atheists, christians, etc...

Fuck you, fuck Jesus, fuck Allah, fuck the masses. Reach out and give me a tug bitch.

  • "We didnt convert and submit to the world majority religion, how dare we!"

You might not be aware that Constitutional rights to freedom of religion were not extended to native Americans and something like the Ghost Dance was illegal until 1976.

The US Government did in fact establish missionary boarding schools with the express intention of destroying the Indian identity under extremely coercive tactics. Just look up Indian boarding schools which had child death rate as high as 60%.

  • "not extended to native Americans"

What does your statement have to do with the subject matter exactly? Islam is the majority peoples religion, its the ultimate bond of global brotherhood. It comes with a price however. Its doctrines are backward, women can never be equal, and the natural evolution of the human species cannot be tolerated by the religion of brotherhood and fun violence.

We didnt convert,we are the great Satan. Our supremely rebelious nature has smited the global bovine herd.

  • The treatment of detainees is material to democratic freedoms, and not creating a political scapegoat exempt from all protections similar to Nazi treatment of the Jews.

As to the demerits of Islam, that's another issue entirely. But demonizing entire groups of people leads to state sanctioned genocide. So a democratic nation needs to enact safeguards to prevent vigilanteeism and abuses.

The American government has used coercive force to compel conversions of American Indians.

  • "If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. . . . We come from Israel, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that? " the founder of Israel and late President Ben Gurion 1 (BG)

  • Something you'd never read in the US media, the founder of Israel, late President Ben Gurion of Israel, summed the conflict in his own words, though very true.

  • Good for this young man keeping a level head and calling it like it is -- you should be proud you're an American -- do what you can to make up for the horrors. Let all America know it's not just about the prisoners; it's about our Constitutional rights as a humane country.

  • fuck you, fish4slits...you're part of the problem.

  • What about torturing people with state of the art "medical equipment". A colonscope for surely will make you say it!!!

Very sad to see this; if the USA's government allowed this to happen, what to expect from others...The United Nations is a joke, a very bad joke...

  • Sure buddy... Keep your sick twisted fantasys to yourself. You spineless piece of swine.

  • Don't make me laugh! You worthless internet "tough guy". It's almost too clear to see that your a fucking rage bottling pussy! Your kind can never say that kind of bullshit to someones face. so go ahead and Vent all you want on youtube, your just a spineless coward!

  • Not really anything new, but I suppose not everybody knows yet.. Well, at least Obama promised to close Guantanamo Bay...

  • Return Khadr to Canada.

Mind you, Guantanamo Bay has more than likely destroyed the kid.

Our Canadian government won't do friggin' thing for our citizens outside the country.

  • Honestly, everyone says how awful Bush is, "worse than Hitler", bullshit! We were screwed from the beginning, the founding fathers had hopes and dreams for us that we never lived up to. We were supposed to remain vigilant of the government's actions, instead we let them parade their immoral shit through our streets. THE PATRIOT ACT! It'll protect our freedoms! It's our fault, our votes that got that asshole into office, don't differentiate between good and bad, you just didn't do enough!

  • Bush is 2x worst then Hitler.

  • You can't be serious. Hitler murdered hundreds of thousand, possibly MILLIONS, of people. Even Bush hasn't done anything as bad as that.

  • Bush is reponsible for the torture of thousands .the Murder of more then half a million and the displacement of millions. And still counting.... So unless you don't consider Muslims or Arabs as people, then there's no debate...

  • Ya ok, what if i butt-fucked your mom and beat the shit out of her? That's not as bad as Hitler right? Dumbass

  • Yes he has whether you killed a few thousand or a hundred thousand innocent people it's all the same.

  • Actually he killed 6 million Jews alone. (The number of Russian victims is unclear).

I think what wallstreetyoung meant was that bush could have done a lot more damage than Hitler. Germany is just a small country in Europe, half the size of texas. America is a superpower...

  • An American Soldier/witness revealing that the American Military did indeed torture, and its on the BBC. Golly, should I hold my breath waiting for the corporate conservatarded US Mainstream media to pick up the story?

  • Heed the words; its like ghetto style proverbs

The righteous pay a sacrifice to get what they deserve

Cannot afford to be confined to a cell

Brainwaves swell, turnin a desert to a well

  • CLOSE GITMO on 1/20/09!!!

  • This is worst then Hitler's regime

  • youre an idiot

  • Yes, we should settle for a Creator instead..!

  • From the mouth of babe's...! Truth..! I do not mean that in a bad way...a Young Gentleman. Thanking you for this post Mr. Mike.

  • it's a situation completely out of control.

  • This is the darkest of days for me. You see, I came of age when JFK was president, the US led the world in balance of trade, people were happy with America, overall. Silver dollars were silver, as well as quarters and dimes. Times were good for the US dollar.

I feel demented nowadays. It is impossible to understand this change has been allowed without a take-over by criminals.

We have rotted from within. Only the facade remains of what was once the worlds hope. My hands shake with rage...

  • It's not too late to fix what's wrong with your country.

  • Well I hope you are right, P47RICK. The freedom of speech is #1 because it is the most important. This also explains why the US Government has become increasingly secretive. As of now, the Bush Administration has not been cooperative with those who seek information.

It almost seems impossible to fix without a miracle, and my once beautiful garden has been clogged with weeds as I have taken to the streets in protest. For some reason it cheers me to think it may not be too late.

  • Look at how screwed up Germany and Japan were after WW2. Both governments committed awful atrocities and the people were blinded and numb from the constant propaganda.

But today both countries are entirely reformed. (I am not saying their ideal or better than the u.s.). They managed to return/redeem from a much darker place than the US is in now.

I think the major mistake a small amount of Americans make though, is to assume that they are better than other people just based on their nationality.

  • "we don't need fuel efficient cars, global warming is just a European fairytale"

"We don't need don't need UN approval to start this war, the rest of the World are just a bunch of cowards( or weasels )"

"We don't need regulations on wall street, we are no commies( or socialists )"

I am afraid thinking like that is what got you into all this trouble. I am no expert but I think the only way to fix this mess, is for the American people as a whole to find back to their old (forgotten) virtues.

  • Old virtues like a rEVOLution to escape organized tyranny, do you mean?

George W. Bush is a criminal, plain and simple. Yet, what are the so-called "checks and balances" doing about this besides nothing.

As far as I am concerned the United States of America has gone like that Aaron Russo film has said: "From Freedom to Fascism."

--And the most frightening thing for the people of the world would be that liberty will be a thing of the past for everyone, not just Americans like me.

  • What you say is true, P47RICK. What worries me (I'm from Chicago) is the loss of objective reporting. The Chicago Tribune is bankrupt---and information is the currency of democracy!

Judith Miller, of the New York Times (the US Newspaper which leads all the others by their editorial desk) was the prime instrument used in this propaganda campaign to support the US attack on an unarmed country which was at peace with us at the time.

The US Dollar is on par with US Democracy, here in good ol USA

  • I agree with everything you said. I also think that the deregulation of the media in the Regan era spawned this kind of propaganda machinery. I just hope that the next president will be able to at least fix a few things.

  • It was NIXON who statrted this Mind Control Nixon kept RE-INVENTING himselfOn FSTV and KERA TV .Nixon Made the Health Care Co.'s GIANTS that KILL Americans Legally ! All on live Video on line NIXON TAPES .He laughs @ Americans Dying from Health Problems and Cusses Americans all LIVE caught on Tape.

  • Cold War, Berlin Wall, racial discrimination, Francis Gary Powers, Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis... and, oh yeah, Kennedy was assassinated. Yeah right, things were better back then.

  • Of course this world (I call it hell) is full of nasty, nasty intentions, MMS747. You are correct.

Eisenhower was president when I was born. We have a terrible racial problem brought about by the propaganda film shown almost 100 years ago and partially written and promoted by a sitting US President (Wilson). Birth of a Nation taught whites to fear black by the horrific actions shown by white actors in black face. We still reel in fear.

Still, the way I see it, Camelot was better than this

  • I wonder how he feels to be part of the USA nazi?

  • That should read "...tortured puppies and kittens AS little boys..."

And, no offense to little girls everywhere, many of you are more "man" then these so-called "men".

And Bless this good guy, Chris Arendt, for exposing it. There are SOME good men out there, but they are certainly in the minority.

AND, believe me, the rotten guards are just behaving behind the scenes the way our leaders WANT them to. Bush giggles like a little girl about this stuff. He's an asshole of the lowest form.

  • They tortured puppies and kittens and little boys, then they tortured their weaker schoolmates, then they abused and mistreated their girlfriends and wives and children, then they get called to war and they finally find a place where they can live out their sick little fantasies on shackled prisoners.

These "men" (and a woman) are scared little boys who can only deal with opponents that are weaker, or have their hands tied, or are unarmed. BUT, in a "fair fight" they'd cry like little girls.

  • someone please arrest the Bush Administration

  • OH I KNOW...sick sick CUNTRY the U.S. is and scaryyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • you shut the fuck up

  • I'm sorry robaralis but Obama is just another puppet.

  • Thanks for posting this. We cant keep sweeping the truth under the carpet. It must have taken a great deal of courage for this guy to speak out. If more people had this sort of fair-minded and compassionate attitude the world would be a better place.

  • Pruneaqualer. My sentiment exactly. Well said.

  • ...why am I not suprised...

  • Good-Bye Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Gonzales and the rest of the Bush Administration criminals.

Perhaps we shall meet again at a World Tribunal.

  • Flush them down the toilet. It is the only fitting exit for these kind.

  • Obama needs to close this day one.

  • This will go down in history as America's version of Japan's Unit 731 or Mengele's Nazi experiments, and this was just a low level guard--imagine what hell he did NOT see, what the higher-ups were doing? SHAME! But do not blame all Americans, for I am American, and I virulently oppose this torture camp. Close it, Obama!
