Reminds me of making max blacksmithing all nights.. admin was all over me like every 2 hrs wanting to jail me . But i held strong to my addiction = ) good old memories = )
I LOVED this game so much! Ah, the good old days, trapped in your guild house by 15-20 murderers, and not daring to go to a dungeon alone because some thug was sure to take your armor, weapon, and anything else of value you might be carrying. The best part about it was, guilds stuck together because they HAD to. There was nothing like facing a real human challenge, and overcoming it with your friends, no game has ever even come close to what UO was in those days, and probably never will.
This song brings tears to my eyes. Seriously the greatest game to ever grace the gaming world. Sadly developers do not understand what it takes to make a great master piece like this. I can't be the only one that hopes and wishes for a new game to come out like this. Farewell :(
To everyone whom wish they could relive that UO feeling that era of great fun and adventure I urge you to visit inporylem! google: IPY 2. the biggest free UO shard!! over 1000( ONE THOUSAND often over 1500! ) people online at all time of the day!!!set upon the 1998-1999 pre-t2a era , pvp, dungeons, even a role player community!!
I'll also never forget waking up at 4am/5am in the morning, quickly grabbing something to drink, then starting up the computer. Listening to the computer come to life, dial-up humming as it connected, and shivering from the cold morning as this theme song and the log-in screen appeared...
I still remember my first few levels running around in Britain's cemetery with a bunch of enemies behind me in line, hitting them off one by one; or mining for hours and hours straight. I will never have such dedication to a game ever again.
Ah yes, back when roleplayers actually played RPGMMMOs. Friendly people, mystical quests. It makes me kind of sad even though the memories are happy. May you all live well.
I get the chills everytime i hear this, UO from 1997-2002 was by far the best game online game in history. All the memories, friends, experiences... priceless. The free shards today are ok, but nothing will replace the good ol' days.

i used to play on defiance uor shard, but now it has like only 80 players online, man the good old memories and this song used to play when we enter the x-roads of dungeon silence, which now doesn't exist anymore.
if you guys wanna play plz check out the free server ULtima Online Hybrid. I was in the same boat as u guys. I missed the game. Now i have it back n alot of people play still btw :)
UO was my life about 5 - 10 years ago. i am not able to forget it. i will always let the moments live in my memories. Britain, minoc, moonglow, yew, cove, bucs and delucia...the forests, warriors, tamers, orns, blacksmithy, beau, ......
the best magical game in the world ever. although i stopped to play a long time ago, i am in spirit with it. Farewell UO...
@Anhmisahko I understand, I played UO from Feb. '98 to sometime late 2001'ish, and it's still the best gaming experience I've ever had, online or console. I still get heartsick and wish I could go back to those days... I'll never forget the feeling when I first logged into the world and appeared in Moonglow, and realized that, unlike my console games, these's characters running around here are real... *Obvious NPC's not-included of course*
@justus005 Buy UO. Create a character on Siege Perilous. Only one character can be made on that server, there is NO item insuring, no Felucca Facet for safety, NPC's don't sell materials, they're prices are 5x more expensive and don't buy your stuff. It's entirely player driven economy and open PVP without insuring items, just like the good ol' days.
@Raikuxox Whoa, I didn't know that! I quit UO and lost total interest with all the training wheels they put on the game. Might actually check this out.
@Raikuxox Still item-based though, sadly. The real UO was skill-based, and if you wanted to, you could play it with your character being completely naked.

There can be thousands of new MMORPGs but no one will be like Ultima Online... This game really had something, that every other mmorpg do not have.

Such a good game, and good song. Sadly the game was completely destroyed. Ultima was the best MMO ever.
