Wow, so many fucking idiots on here. What gives anyone the notion that the way in which the instruments used offends God? The only thing wrong with most death metal bands is that they preach atheism and faithlessness. If the lyrics are not in opposition to God there is absolutely NOTHING morally wrong about how this band plays it's instruments. If you think this sound is morally wrong please, PLEASE give me justification. Music is music. Jesus likes music.

Mortification is acctually not a death metal band. Back in the 90s they've called christian death metal "White metal".

It should be noted that this song was released nearly 20 years ago. So I think it's fair to say that Steve was doing some pretty progressive stuff for the day. Even more progressive was his lyrical content. Not very many people were doing good Christian Death Metal then. This ain't no metalcore. \m/

im a christian and i love alot of satanic metal bands and know alot about alot of diff metal, wich is like you said mostly about satan or satanic ideas. i dont think its lame that they talk about satan or shit like that. im a huge slayer fan i dont care that they are really satanic. its awsome music and metal is hands down the single most passionate genre of music.

The problem with your point here, is, music affects the subconcious. Also there is an old saying around Christians which basically says the monster that is fed the most is the strongest, or what you feed your soul is what you become. Obviously some people are more susseptible than others but you are kidding yourself if you think it has no affect on you. A house divided cannot stand. I'm not saying don't listen to it just don't be deceived by thinking it has no impact.
