i'm an incoming seminarian in DB canlubang, but i can't believe that the salesians don't like the tridentine mass. yung damit nga ng statue ni don bosco ay pang tridentine mass(and obviously, ang misang tridentine ay ang misa ng aming ama na si don bosco)
I used to be a seminarian in DB Canlubang, we have latin masses there but not the tridentine mass. Salesians are noted to be conservatives so they will love the tridentine mass again...
the Don Bosco fathers now celebrating the traditional Mass? that's a good sign. but wait. you still can't understand if it is high mass or low mass, since there is a choir singing, but the priest only recites the prayers. that needs to be checked.
No please read the info/description. It was celebrated by a Franciscan (who used to be trained by the SSPX). The Salesians in that area don't like the Tridentine Mass (which ironically is their founder's mass). They adhere to liturgically deformed liturgies and other "inculturated" form of the Mass. Yes it is a Low Mass (e.g. two candelabras on the altar) in Missa Cantata.
@ertulfo A High and Low Mass are easily identifiable by the number of candles lit on the High Altar. Kapag anim na kandila got lit, that is a High Mass, kapag dalawa lang ay Low Mass. How did I know this? An expert priest told me that.
hi.. i am a Catholic Charismatic from the United States and I LOVE the Tridentine Mass.... gives a full sense of being a charismatic in the Catholic Church- tradition is the way to be charismatic...
CHARISMATIC is not catholic, it is Pentecostalism. There's no charismatic in the old rite. This practice was introduced in the late 60's and incorporate in the catholic church but actually it is Pentecostal, so it is protestant.
