  • this movie kicks assssitol

  • This Was REALLY GOOD! WOW!

  • After .35 seconds in it goes all down hill horrible effects and bad acting but good opener ...

  • Dude, you spent thousands of dollars on a 7D when you could have hired Chuck Norris to film the exact same quality on a £20 walmart camera...

BTW, no hatred - your films are mint:)

  • Nice 👌

  • some hollywood s***. You learned your lessons well, instead of copying, create something now.

  • @beveik You should see his website and his other movies before saying anything like that...

  • @yellowcard67 perhaps you are right. I was a bit too harsh. Anyways it's hard to think of something that is not created already. Thats why we are here - to copy stuff:) copy the good stuff and leave the "bad" aside. Check this out: watch?v=fQ_9-Qx5Hz4

  • The skinhead guy is so rude because Rob halfor is his inspiration... Your cinematography is very fluent and natural directing, pretty well done.

  • FIRE CRACKERS

  • Nice work.

  • which software did u use for editing?

  • @sherinireland final cut, avid and adobe premiere are the 3 most known and professional editing programs.

  • the acting unlike most short films is awesome. the opening scene is so realistic and the angles are awesome. great job!

  • shit... this thing is awesome

  • what kind of lens did you use??? iam getting a canon 7d but don't know if i should go with a 50mm 1.4 or 1.2 or the 135mm f/2 l ??? answers!!!

  • Good. I like the "D.A so far up my ass I can feel his moustache on my Kidneys" It's not a cop film without the obligatory "D.A up my ass" line!

  • This is all someone can do something great within 168 hours.. Nice job done.. would love to see a 90 minutes feature based on these cops..

  • Wow, nice work.

  • Outstanding work guys

  • Not bad guys!!. Good camera shots. some of the acting was ok some acting was overdone, we're not talking Hollywood, but hey Id say some of those big names that are on the silver screen aren't even that great. Overall very good in regards to production size and time limit. Good concept as well. I would've like to have heard or seen something as to the outcome of the girl, being that she was how it all started but definitely KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  • Excellent do more

  • Great Work!

  • at 5:28 how do you keep switching camera angles and not see a camera? This has always puzzled me?

  • @MackEffects they shoot the scene multiple times from different angles

  • @MrFisherRulez So like the actor will have to do the same scene 5 times, then add it together in editing?

  • @MackEffects yup, thats how they do it. Normally, most people will do like 5-10 sits per angle and there are multiple angles...so they must not have slept to get this done in a week

  • @MrFisherRulez Yup, it was a very sleep deprived week!!

  • @goodnightsmoke what framerate did yo guys record?

  • @MackEffects

In that situation they film the same scene more than one time at different angles then cut it together.

  • personally, I wouldn't have put in so many fade to blacks, but cut straight to the next scene, maybe the audio before the visual. It just felt a bit disjointed. Everything else was superb, though!

  • how many cams used?

  • great video ! does anyone know how to get rid of the jello effect on 7d I have 15-85 lens if that helps

  • @ps3Tank11 get a rig

  • nice!

  • Cool, cool, cool. Strongest part: the casting (everyone is not just the same age--which I can't say is true for my own stuff lol). But I feel like some of the CUT TO BLACKs were cop-outs for not knowing what to cut to. Yes, you did have only a week to film and edit. But why waste a week with an 8 page script? You could have easily kicked out a good script in 2 days with peer editing/collaboration. Just saying... Unless it was a requirement to take a week to write the script.

  • how did u make this! it is amazing!!!

  • Actually made me smile! This was better than watching a feature length movie, because I was entertained in spite of my adhd! ;-) love it

  • Man!! Wow! Whoever had bad talk to say about this work, from the story to the actors.. you should have shit on your shoes.. because yal kicked ass on this one!

  • Was cool, but why does it still look kinda soft at 1080p?

  • fucking nailed it !

  • What lens did you use?

  • This was pretty damn good.I felt like I was watch a major motion picture.Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!!!!.

  • wow !!!

  • great work!

  • omg so good

  • d younger cop is the worst actor of them all, but there all bad

  • Very nice photography but, terrible story and terrible terrible actors' playing.

  • @JeDorsBeaucoupTrop im agree with u

  • i wonder how they did the car hit guy, looks good : )

  • what cc did you use?

  • Well I liked it and i would see more!!

  • bad actors but awesome film!!!!!!!! :D

  • that was freakin awsome i want to learn how to do that.

  • How'd you avoid the rolling shutter?

  • fuck why did the cops park so far away if he was going to to chase the dude. then somehow he caught up to him. This is already hollywood material.

  • @tazer5 LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • The color correction used made it look like a video game

  • holy shit shit, gj!

  • love the story line

  • 1:27 = the puff jump

  • what lences has been used for this film?

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • who are they looking for Walter White? lol

  • This was an interesting concept.. Haha!

  • NICE !

  • what lens(es) did you use? was it just the 18-135mm or did you use any additional lenses?

  • I'm surprised no one mentioned the Andrew Kramer car hit at the beginning. It could have been better if they had more time though.

  • Really, really nice work done quickly. Awesome.

  • Really good job m8. just a bit too glossy and shiny for this kind of movie. Keep it up!

  • Beautifully done, congratulations on the awards!

  • Looks so cinematic. @-) can the 60D do this too?

  • @WammiJammi id say yes....its mostly done with the editing

  • @WammiJammi Yes it does you need the right software to color corrector and stuff

  • @WammiJammi the 60D can do this with no problem !!

  • The Chief was the most natural actor in the whole film #FUCKINGAWESOME work though you guys are the #SHIT no toilet paper

  • @UrGoingLose xD

  • That intro is awesome.

I have to pay like $12 at the theatres to see intros that aren't even that good.

    Awesome stuff here!

  • great work in two weeks..

  • I thought this was gonna suck but actually it was pretty good

  • the very beginning doesnt even look like it was made on the 7d but rather an actual movie camera.if it really is the 7d then its amazing!!!

  • @goodnightsmoke lens used?????

  • Beautifully shot. :D

  • great job guys.inspirational stuff

  • from :25 - :33 has bad continuity. he keeps walking slowly and she keeps running but at the end his still too close to her

also @ 1:06 his looking at the left side of the frame then at 1:08 his looking at the right. either mistake or bad edit

other than that, i gotta say i really like the writing in this short, acting was pretty decent and the SFX.

  • HAHAHAHA.Why didn't the girl in the house just move her hands up to the bandana in her mouth and move it down? Was the idea for this film "Dumbest girl in world get kidnapped by dumbest guy in world". Awesome job for only having 168 hrs though. Looks great!

  • Not bad at all! I enjoyed it, though I felt the acting could have used some work, it felt a bit unbelievable for a lot of it. Though, I did feel connected to the characters and the story which is good. Overall, very nice!

    ty

  • Really good.... Good job guys.

  • What settings did you guys film with to get the chase sequence starting at 1:10 (fps, shutter speed, iso, etc)? Did you modify anything about the Frame Rate or Shutter Speed in post? Looks great! High Quality and awesome action look! :-)

  • I'm not tech savvy as some of the other commenters, but this was an amazing short to have only been made in 7 days...especially the editing! I paused for a minute, thinking I'd see a "coming soon" message

  • wow! its amazing!!! Great Job!

  • Great job! A 7d isn't a magic movie making box, this level of refinement requires a great deal of skill and long hours. Very nice result

  • all this with a canon 7d ????????? FRICKEN AWESOME! Great work guys!!

  • Did you used special microphone, or normal from camera? Great movie! I will get my camera soon and make movies too :)

  • WHAT KIND OF LENS DID U USE 1.6 AND 2.2..PLZZZZZZZ REPLY ME

  • I like the ending. :)

  • Looks legit. I have a 7d myself and I was just wondering how you achieved that "film-like" look to it? Did you use any custom user picture style presets (ex: superflat01) and color corrected that footage in post, or was that shot on the Standard preset and had color correcting done to that footage? Thanks.

  • PRO STUFF! How much was the budget for the production?

  • Nice-I'm more Canon 7D inspired! By the way, which DSLR camera was used? Thanks-very nice-good luck!

  • this was pretty good.

  • I enjoyed it.

  • Acting is better than some so called pro's from Hollywood.

  • hey check your inbox I have a few questions about this film which are to long for a comment lol

  • what in Glendale fuck none of this looks familiar you really took this place and turned it into gold

  • this is amazing. the 20 people who disliked this are fags and dont know any thing about nice videography.

  • Great job, really enjoyed the video. Audio was a little low but the rest of the film made up for it.

  • What kind of jib/crane did you guys use?

  • sooooo good

  • AMAZING jesus, only thing you should improve id the special effects (in my opinion)

  • loved it! good work!

  • Amazing work! What software you used to make this video looks like a movie?

  • how do you keep it in focus? do you use a follow focus? and how does THAT work? i never really got those? are they like regular camcorder autofocus systems?

  • Thanks for sharing! great shots man.... and i'd like to repeat that last comment... Great Talent!

  • horrible acting.....great video quality

  • That was really good, reminded me of csi or something like that, good acting and filming, well put together, I hope you make more with the same char.s :)
