While Aliens might come to earth and help us shape this world into a better one, you also have to seriously consider the possibility that they might just wipe out the human race. Think about it. Think about how many times in human history the strong have occupied and oppressed the weak. What makes people think it's all going to be great and dandy when some unknown and powerful beings come to our planet. But if they're out there, they might be peaceful... at least...one can only hope... :)

If aliens existed, what makes people think their music would sound so much like this? So slow-paced and what not? I'm sure somewhere out in the universe, there's another civilization with no clue as to whether or not they're alone int he universe, and they think our music sounds like this. i was thinking about all these people who say aliens dont exist have to, there is millions and billions of planets in the universe there just cant be one planet which does contain life. our planet is new to the solar system if you think about all the planets most of them would of been made numbers we cant put onto scale because it was so long ago, so really i believe that aliens helped us make stuff they came down thousands of years ago to tell us what they know there knowledge to help us.

We could very well be the aliens. As SETI astronomer Seth Shostak had stated life could have gotten started on other planets millions of years before us. So WE could be the aliens. And think about it. Some of the stars in space are so giant that they exceed the size of our whole entire galaxy. Obviously, in the grand scheme of things, humans and their planet are so small, we might as well be nonexistant. It's humbling to think about.
I wonder if were being watched and studied by extra terrestrials so they can see how we live and how our civilization develops and survives and recovers from natural disasters. For example, monotheists got violent when natives refused to adopt their practices. However, aliens probably wouldn't have those kind of misunderstandings, since they would know what to expect from us. If you research historical accounts good enough you should come to the conclusion that most "meetings" of two very different nations/races mostly have thier own very difficult problems (missunderstanding, sicknesses, war for resources etc etc)

@lightworker2011 I watched a documentary about that once. It showed an incident where romans prepared for battle and stopped battling when they saw what they described as "flying shields" shooting lasers and crashing into each other. But I am sure that if they did have occasional warfare, that they would need a really good (and fair) reason to invade the earth. Morality comes with intelligence, so the smarter they are, the wiser they are (wise enough to understand that we have a lot to learn)

While id agree its not wise to assume immediately theyd be a threat to us doing the opposite is equally as silly if not more so. After all, true aliens might not even have a concept of peace, or of any value in life, or any concept of kindness or even evil. they might see wiping an entire race out as an entirely acceptable act and justify it with reasons we could never hope to guess at.

We could very well be the aliens. As SETI astronomer Seth Shostak had stated life could have gotten started on other planets millions of years before us. So WE could be the aliens. And think about it. Some of the stars in space are so giant that they exceed the size of our whole entire galaxy. Obviously, in the grand scheme of things, humans and their planet are so small, we might as well be nonexistant. It's humbling to think about.

For example, monotheists got violent when natives refused to adopt their practices. However, aliens probably wouldn't have those kind of misunderstandings, since they would know what to expect from us. @Recruit173 I would be carefull about saying the idea that aliens would be hostile is a stereotypical thing to think. If you research historical accounts good enough you should come to the conclusion that most "meetings" of two very different nations/races mostly have thier own very difficult problems (missunderstanding, sicknesses, war for resources etc etc)

@Recruit173 i totally agree. most aliens shown in movies are still somehow "human": they have human motivations, ambitions & ways of thinking, they seek power, territory, money, fame, they are peaceful or aggressive, good or bad. these are all human criteria, but we assign them onto alien life forms.
if aliens really exist, they are surely very different from how we imagine them. even if they are intelligent, we won´t probably ever understand each other´s ways of thinking completely.

Stop getting inspiration from Halo and look at the facts. Aliens Excist? Maybe but I am CERTAIN they arn't some "Older then the universe" Super race.

@lightworker2011 I watched a documentary about that once. It showed an incident where romans prepared for battle and stopped battling when they saw what they described as "flying shields" shooting lasers and crashing into each other. But I am sure that if they did have occasional warfare, that they would need a really good (and fair) reason to invade the earth. Morality comes with intelligence, so the smarter they are, the wiser they are (wise enough to understand that we have a lot to learn)

@Recruit173 Yes and if im not mistaken it is mostly the reptilians that provoke wars and alien greys sometimes use warfare.. but from what I've read about the 'Venusians' they'd rather give their life then take another, and that probably goes for many advanced human races in our solar system and galaxy. Although in the book by ravis Walton (fire in the sky) there was humans also on board the saucer that he was on, which makes me wonder why humans and greys were together.. but the truth is vast

@Recruit173 I like your 'the truth is' followed immediately by 'probably'. Aliens are alien, thats the point. While id agree its not wise to assume immediately theyd be a threat to us doing the opposite is equally as silly if not more so. After all, true aliens might not even have a concept of peace, or of any value in life, or any concept of kindness or even evil. they might see wiping an entire race out as an entirely acceptable act and justify it with reasons we could never hope to guess at.
