  • "The Chariot"

  • He just summerized hardcore punk in under 1 minute. I love this guy.

  • This applies to hardcore/screamo music today.

  • this is exactly what happens with every genre in music. rap, punk, hardcore, metal, every fucking thing.

  • fugazi is brilliant.

  • he looks like a skinny as Joe pesci

  • @Canniballin He looks like Bert from Sesame Street.

  • Anyone else feel this way? Start a band? Let's do it.

  • This rules.

  • Interesting. I've never seen him in this light before.

  • defintely! there is this assupmption that fugazi just churn out good records almost like it's effortless. they make it look that easy. in reality they work their asses off on each album. cept steady diet. that was their true transition album (my least fav). this documentary is ace because it shows you how savy they really are.

  • I know your comment is pretty old, but this scene is from the Instrument documentary. check it out if you like Fugazi

  • Thanks. Will do.

  • he's right, theres not enough original bands out there these day, not enough bands challenging themselves and pushing their limits... moving forward.

  • anyone have the quote written down?

  • changethrucommonsense. blogspot. com/2009/11/music-genres-and-their-assimilation.html

  • the greatest music quote of all time....and its totally 100% true

  • I find it strange that no one has compared him to iggy pop

he is definitely as much a character as iggy

  • I think he's more energetic than Iggy. I've heard a comparison with Cedric Bixler-Zavala, but I don't really agree with that one either. Guy's really an original personality.

  • that he is

  • "I've never recognized "emo" as a genre of music. I always thought it was the most retarded term ever. I know there is this generic commonplace that every band that gets labeled with that term hates it. They feel scandalized by it. But honestly, I just thought that all the bands I played in were punk rock bands. The reason I think it's so stupid is that - what, like the Bad Brains weren't emotional? What - they were robots or something? It just doesn't make any sense to me." -Guy Picciotto, 2003

  • "I must say emocore must be the stupidest f$%ing thing I've ever heard in my entire life. But just in case you are wondering, I read in my Thrasher the other day, that in fact, what my band along with other bands in this city are playing is emocore. I'm thinking Emo Phillips, the comedian, emocore? Emotional hardcore?? As if hardcore wasn't emotional to begin with. Anyway, it's caca. I hate to say it but you can only hold your silence for too long about this stupid sh#$t." -Ian MacKaye, 1986

  • this man is hardcore

  • yes, he is true hardcore:)

  • Guy trust me things are still that way AND WILL COME REAL SOON!!!

THE UNDERGROUND WILL AWAKEN THE SPIRIT AGAIN!! THE THREAT IS REAL AGAIN!!!!

  • cunliffe

  • guy hated the word emo, it was music not a label

  • yes music was emotional, but it was still hardcore

  • he was the one who invented EMO.

  • he looks like a right G in this vid. upload the whole documentary.

  • pqp o baguio loco

  • wow! Pretty cool :) word!

  • Him makeum smart words like Miles playum smart horn.

  • alls i know is thats one of the coolest motherfuckers ever.

  • i've based alot of my life around this band
