Well, the only thing I do is stay up to date with drivers. My card isn't even overclocked. (even though I've been told multiple times to do so... but meh... I'll do it eventually...)
Having the latest drivers I suppose is all I can tell you seeing as we have the same card, and, as you can see it's running quite fine. I apologize that I cannot be of more help to you.
Im up to date on my drivers, got the directX that comes with the game I even tried seeing if a beta driver would work. well thanks for responding anyways. guess I'll return the game :<
can u pls tell me what problem were u getting .....cuz even im havin problems ...maybe its the same problem u had........ and u can help me fix it.... :)
i HAVE a nvidia geforce 8400 gs !!! my problem is when i played the game the first time it was working fine till i reached my first checkpoint .......as soon as i reached the checkpoint the game stopped responding and i had to restart my computer the next time i started the game and clicked resume game the game closed by itself and gave me some errors one of them was a library error R6052 pure virtual functional call!!
ok I never had that problem so Im not sure what to do but I'll try to help.
if you have a duo or quad processor try changing the affinity of the program. to do this hit ctrl+alt+delete, then click on the tab that says processes, look for your xmen-origins program (the game must be running while doing this) then right click the games process and choose "set affinity" once the menu pops up set the game too a single CPU, by default its set too 2, but some games run better on one.
I fixed the game myself, all I had to do was disable a sound device that my computer wasnt using. its working now. (I fixed it like 2 minutes before posting this comment)
