@burgerman666 I am looking for a top notch reverb pedal and delay pedal (ie one of each). What would you suggest? I want something warm, natural sounding and which will be best suited to bluesy/john mayer type applications. Ii dont mind spending if its really good. I play strats and LP through a bassman. Thanks.
How does it compare to the built in reverb of the L5T. I am thinking of getting it as a quiet clean channel for my pedals at home. Can you get decent sounds at low volumes?
@GabrielGR It's certainly more versatile than the amp's reverb, that's for sure. There's no way you'll get an infinite decay from a standard spring reverb and the pedal sounds, to my ears, near enough to the real thing for it not to matter. You can't really go wrong with the Wet. I don't think I've heard one complaint yet, to be honest. :)
@Ignitionator Swells courtesy of my pinky and the volume knob. Strymon? No, I haven't tried any of them. I offered to do some demos for them but they're quite content with their current offerings, and rightly so as they're pretty damn good.
Thanks for all the quality reviews, man. I have seen your reviews for both the WET reverb and also the TREX Tonebug reverb. Just wondering if you'd be willing to give your opinion on which one is "better" when running in front of an amp? By "better" I mean lowest noise, least amount of "tone suck," and highest quality reverb. FWIW, I am looking to put a reverb in front of my little VOX AD4TV. Your opinions would be great - thanks!
@TheBanjohound Well, the truth is, I haven't A/B'd any of them. So how about this: In the next couple of weeks I'll do a shootout with every reverb pedal I have here. Same guitar, same clean channel. Then your ears can decide. How's that sound?
Hey there Brett! Great pedal demos as always (my first video and audio reference!). I was jsut wondering if you could help me out! I want a REALLY lush, ambient and musical reverb, to be used for cathedral like tones. In your opinion would the WET reverb be better for this or the TECH 21 RVB? Cheers mate!
Both are capable of some pretty lush reverbs when you gun them into ambient world. The T21 has a couple more functions as you know, but the WET has great sounds straight up and no fussing. I'll leave you to A/B the clips as I haven't had a chance to do it in real life yet. :)
well priced? 200$ what the hell?????? i thought it will be around 90-100$... that sucks balls man..

Sounds like an Ebow at 2:03.

Another question. Are you using any overdrive with the Laney, or thats the amp itself?
GabrielGR 1 year ago
@GabrielGR The drive is just the amp's Drive channel. Not bad, eh?

@Burgerman666 Not bad at all! I might get it on Saturday :)

Have you compared this to the BSR from Strymon?
Also, were the swells from your volume knob (or a volume pedal) or just the WET?

Hey Ronaldo! Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure Brian will be happy to hear them, too.
People: for those who don't know; my friend Ronaldo also makes a very cool Reverb pedal called the Space-O-Verb. Check it out. :)
