could you send me your manual please?

    thanks

  • I used it with heavy dis and its way better but either way good investment

  • can you use youre microfone to?

  • bpm of the drums????

  • @fraenkel97

    70-80 bpm

  • Are you able to change the tempo of the drums?

  • @MeetyHam yeah you can

  • @MeetyHam Yes

  • Need a hand with this

  • is that boss gt-8 ? the volume pedal is in the left side :O

  • @andrehavanabar The image of this video is mirrored.

  • good stuff

  • What kind of multi effect pedal is that next to your rc-2?

  • @ozzcar1 It's a boss me- something. 25 or 70.

  • Short, but informative video for those unfamiliar with this unit. Your longer video is worth seeing also. The manual can be downloaded from the Roland.com site.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=hZ1paky0HAs me rc-2

  • can you record in layers with this pedal? i mean, can you record a rythm guitar and a bass and make them sound at the same time?

  • r they kinda stinky socks? omg lol

  • @adriank9 omg lol? Are you 9 years old?

  • @algolake mind your own business pall

  • @adriank9 You TWIT!! Don't make dumbass comments and you won't need to worry about it. Where is your demo video loser. omg lol tee heeee....

  • @algolake Well my intension was not to offence anybody as my comment was not about his video and was kind of joke but NOT insulting the demo video you twat. Stop messing around and think first. That's my advice for you. Good luck. No further comments.

  • I agree

  • nice socks ^^

  • @learntofly55 socks? lol .. all positive feedback is good I guess

  • @Deathshuck sincerely I love that tutorial. Thanks for posting the video.

  • how to get it to continually play back. mine has a 2 second gap. wondering how to make it so like it plays back without the pause!

  • i dont know whether to be stoked about the pedal or the song. great stuff all around

  • lol whats up with the mirror?

  • Hey man, i have this, and like when i over dub a riff it is SOOOOOOO QUIET i cant even hear it what could be wrong? It sounds like 1 riff is like running low on battery?

  • @ReebHound

maybe you should adjust the knob to make the recorded part louder. (One is for drums and the second for looped riff)

  • hi man, i'm thinking about buying a boss rc-2. I've got an line 6 pod x3 live pedalboard and hava a input for a second pedal.. one cable goes in the pedalboard and the other one? guitar or amp?

  • Did you point the video camera at the muirror because the text is back to front xD

  • how much is this pedal and is it good?

  • nice sock :)

  • yeah i really want a tutorial.. and nice work

  • Can you use this pedal without using the drum tracks?

  • @CyanideSun1294 just turn down volume of the drums

  • @CyanideSun1294 Yeah you can just the drum tracks volume to 0.

  • whoa. i thought the knobs were in a different order. then i saw the writing is backwards. was this recorded from a mirror?

  • Thanks for sharing!

Hmm. Did you have the camera aimed at a mirror?

  • i have trouble recording/playback the most simple function, which is the auto. After i select an empty phrase i hit the auto and the light goes flashing. As soon as I strike a note, the light is still flashing which means it hasn't started recording yet. And I do not know how to clean phrases so that I can have an empty phrase. There's also preset loops I don't know how to access on command. Can anyone help me? Thanks

  • i just love the simplicity of this demo

  • say i've recorded 3 layers, but want to cut one out. can you do that on one of these, or do i need a loopstation with more pedals?

  • Nice !

  • whoa nice tone, just put a bit reverb

  • Ah, the classics. 'Ol Pink.

  • i use a line 6 spider 3 half stack and when i loop and play with the loop it starts to drown out the loop. how can i fix this problem. plus it like mixes the sounds and sounds horrible

  • What Guitar is that in the background with the bigsby??

  • ;) .:"another Brick in the wall" :. *_*

  • i dont get what it does?

  • @chainsawteddybear It records Multiple tracks... So several parts can Play at Once...

  • wow this is a great short demo. Gotta get one! 5 stars

  • great demo, I am getting one of these!

  • Been thinking about it for ages, watched dozens of long videos, this 3 minutes have sold me on it!

  • oot stnemmoc no skrow ti gmoz P:kcirt rorrim ecin DXtxet

  • The Wall!

  • Nice! But I wonder? Let's say you lay down a simple chord change in a non gain mode...then play a hi-gain lead over that. Will the previously recorded change play back distorted?

  • no it will not

  • Nice video dude. You persuaded me. I bought one yesterday! Loving it so far.

  • where does the sound for the drum track come from, i know its from the pedal but does the sound come through the amp, or do you need like a pa system or something

  • @rinkes43933

    amp itself

  • Comment removed

  • pink floyd. haha, nice.

  • Wow...THIS IS AMAZING!!!

Never thought about loop stations this way :D

You can create an entire song in seconds!

  • really need to wear some footwear..

  • hey sounds great....wanna get one of them loopers, can one plug in other inputs like ketyboard or mike, instead of guitar????.....aloha, forest

  • It can plug into anything with a jack similiar to a guitar chord jack. I believe it's any Midi jack or just any Midi instrument period.

  • @forestfairness Yes, you can plug any instrument you want into the RC-2, or any other looper for that matter.

  • pink floyd rocks!

  • I'm having a problem with my Boss RC-2 Loop Station The record led is flashing (quickly I might add) and I can't reset or stop it. Can anyone help?

  • i have the exact same problem

  • read the instruction manual

  • fart

  • I like your loop, i just started looping myself check uploaded a new video today

  • this is cool if the song has one part. What happens if you go to a bridge or something?

  • Can you just record a rythm but not record the lead

  • lets say i recorded a rhythem track and then i added a lead part, but what if i wanted to delete the lead part only. how would you do that?

  • just step on it for about 2sec

then the last recorded track gets deleted...

  • oh man get rid of that cheesey drum pattern over it

  • ive got this pedal but is there a way to add a lead distortion to the previously looped clean rythm?

  • if the distortion effect is after the loop station then yes, but then all recorded gets distorted

  • another brick in the wall RULES !!!

  • a couple of parts are ever so slightly off but that was a damn good presentation

  • Your work is cleary explained ! And you have a good sound ! Merci ! Alain

  • Will this work with a battery-powered wireless PA system?

  • soooo out of time with the drums, but its pretty gd, pink flyod innit??

  • Is the FS-5U or the FS-6 optional footswitch good to have for the RC-2? How can I record a 16 min phrase without the drum patterns?

  • the FS 5U as for recording without drums, im not sure, i just got mine today!

  • to record without the drums just turn the volume of the drums down

  • Attack of the blue sock!! Run!! LOL

    Nice Demo =)

  • :L i see u've got the boss gt-8. i still have the loop station but loast the gt-8 at a gig. i'm a single effects man now :L

  • Nice Work!

  • Awesome! I'm going to buy it soon, I love it!

  • WE DON"T NEED NO EDUCATION!

  • great man :D, never thought about that!

  • tabs? lol...u rocked.

  • They are a super piece of kit for practice too . Check out my vid as i use the looper on most.. To save a loop to the built in memory ie. you dont lose it when you power down , you turn th small button on the right to save pos. then press the small button , the neon will flash rapidly then stop = saved....To delete just go to the phrase you want deleted and then turn the small knob to delete press and hold small button ,the neon will flash rapid again ,but then go out = loop deleted ..Job done.

  • so you trigger the next loop by hitting it again?

  • I got the loop about a week ago, I'm figuring out the tempos and when exactly to stop recording, but I am having trouble in saving phrases.. all of mine are empty. what I do is I select either of them move the knob to write and then press the pedal and hold. i believe I'm doing something wrong. if you could help me it'd be great.

  • to save - turn knob to the select delete (think thats what it says.havent got it in front of me) - press that button, select the # that you want to save the track to, push select again...wait....and it should save. its in the manual, which ive lost. now im having trouble deleting phrases

  • what setup and effects you use for your solo sound?

  • built in drum machine?

  • yep

  • This thing is awesome, want one !!

  • lol dude so dope

hahahaah it all fell together then i was like ohhh shit

  • Nice, Floyd. :D

  • WE DON'T NEED NO EDUCATION!!

  • Thanks dkstryker

  • i sort of dont like the way it works with my line 6 spider III. it buzzes alot when i overdub with distortion on, so its difficult to record "pure" sounding metal harmonies. what can i do?

  • Buy a distortion/drive pedal to put before the looper. sounds way better.

  • Thanks

  • whats the thing in the background of the video???

  • Boss Gt-8

  • no its not...

  • it sure looks like one,

and sorry olly, I hit the spam button by accident :(

  • its a gt-8

  • Hope you can help.......When I try to play a phrase and play it back, there is an unwanted delay so it doesn't sound uniform. HELP

  • You just porbably need to figure out where the actual begining of the loop is

  • i had the same problem when i got mine. right when you get done recording the phrase you have to instantly hit the pedal so it wont delay. i know its so fucking frustrating especially when you are trying it out with another musician. pm me if you still need help.

  • It's Another Brick In The Wall pt. II by Pink Floyd

  • @MathaeusBech i recognised that bass line instantly!

  • what song is this?

  • i couldnt tell, were you using a david gilmore lick?

  • Why is the video mirrored? :D

  • The video isn't mirrored. Those pedals are for lefty players.

  • Heh :D They even read from right to left :D

  • Haha, lol.

  • Nice that you just got it :D

And no, because there is two volume knobs, one for the loop, and one for the drums, the drums is the highest of the two, just turn that all the way down, and it should fix your problem :D

  • Hey Mathaeus; nice choice of song and playing! I got this through the post this morning, and I don't really want a drum beat on at all... I saw that you said you can turn it off by adjusting the volume all the way down, doesn't this then just invalidate the pedal? ie. the guitar sound just gets turned down too?

  • Run it through the effects loop. that should solve your prob.

  • need some helpp herreee,, i recently bought this pedal, and i want to improvise with distortion over a clean track and drum beat. However; when i turn my line 6 spider III amp to distortion... the drum beat AND my clean chords turn distorted and it sounds like CRAP. how can i improvise in distortion, but not having the drum beats become distorted too?? thankssssss : )

  • I'm getting one of these pedals, and I need to know how to jump this hurdle before I get it, please respond soon...

  • you have to put a stomp box in front of your loop pedal. so i dont think u can use a built in amp distortion

  • yay for brick in the wall

  • i might be an idiot for asking this, but can you play back multiple loops at the same time?

like, laying down a bass line, then playing rhythm over it, then a second guitar part over both.

    you can do that, right?

  • he's doing that in this video...so yes. It also allows you to put a drum beat in I believe.

  • Quick question (might be stupid) you have the choice of using a drum beat or not right? You don't have to use it?

  • You can turn it of by adjusting the volume all the way down :D

  • Nice playing!

I'd like to know if besides writing the phrase (saving) to a track could you also copy that phrase from one track to another?

I'd like to string together a song and go from verse-chorus-bridge-back to verse (here is where I'd want to copy the verse I already recorded)

Do you know if the RC-2 could do this?

    THanks!

  • Hmm, that's a really good question... I think yes, by recording a phrase, and then play it, and then turn the phrase knob to an empty phrase and then save it, but I'll have to check into it.

    Thanks for your comment :D

  • What i that tune?? I've heard it before.. Its so cool, is it someone like pink floyd?

  • Yeah, it's Pink Floyd, Another Brick In the Wall (part 2)

  • uh maybe a stupid question butt can you like store your recording on the mp3?

because i dodnt really understand all that shit aubout the mp3

  • I was hoping this pedal would allow me to play backing tracks through an MP3 player and play over them. But it's not so straightforward. Having the LINE IN jack filled mutes the AUX. You'll have to record the backing track to one of the phrases then play over it as it plays back. Still a good pedal, but that's one drawback. Nice video, too.

  • nice bro! love the jam

  • so does this thing make up a beat according 2 wat u play

  • I noticed the drum beat only kicks in after you record your first sample and because you arent playing to a beat/click it goes slightly out of time. Is it possible to set a tempo (instead of the tempo being set from your second stomp) and record your first riff with a beat?

  • Yup, if you have a Boss FS-5U you should be able to do it, but I'm not shure... A tip, is to play the loop with the guitar volume turned all the way down, and just play it normal, to set the beat, and play it again normally. (i probably should have done that :D ) hope it could help, good comment BTW ;D

  • thanks for the quick reply, I will check out the FS-5U.

  • what chords are u using for the progression

  • Is it a guitar synthesizer what you've got there?

  • do you need anything else but Boss RC-2 , a guitar and an amp to play and record and stuff?or do u need another pedal, reply by tommorow, pleassssssssse

  • Nope just this one pedal

  • What does this pedal do?

  • Loops things you play, so you can jam with yourself

  • hey guy!

could you explain me. i` want to buy this thing so can i change the rythm while it`s plaing that i`ve recorded? for example if i use a tap stuff will my record paly faster or slower? thanks in advance

  • No, it will only change the beats tempo, but i don't have one, so I'm not 100% sure, but what I've seen an read it's just the beat :D

  • Yes, you can change the tempo without changing pitch, but only for phrases you've saved to a slot (1-11), not just on the fly. So you can slow down a song to learn it, etc, but only to a point.

  • is it just me or is everything backwards?

  • yup, filmed with my web cam :D

  • hey when i turn on the distortion on my amp it makes the drums distorted, is there any way around this?

  • Is it only the drums, or is it also the guitar?

  • lets say i have it set on clean and i record a loop with drums, then i try to overdub that with distortion or some other effect, it changes the whole thing

  • I don't know for sure, but I think it's how it's routed to the amp. Because if it goes guitar - loop - amp the amp will just change everything, mine goes guitar - effectpedals - loop - amp, and my amp running clean all the time. That way the effects come before and not after the pedal, so I think you need an effect pedal to do the overdrive, and put it before the loop to overdub with an effect

  • when ur using the distortion is it in the amp or in pedals

  • It's in the pedal board :D

  • Nice playing, nice cover.

    I have just one question...

I have my rc-2 hooked up just now, but the effect i am playing with also goes into my loops I don't want the effect in to.

    Help!

  • nice cover. i love it.

  • Nice to see someone else with a GT8!

Would it be best to get an RC2, or RC20XL?

  • I think you get most value-for-money with the RC-2, the RC20Xl is practically just the same with reverse and better controls, but if money wasn't an issue i would probably buy the '20Xl :D

  • Im saving for that baby!

    Its a quite expensive pedal.

But I almost got the money.

Thanks a lot for this and also you RC-2 tutorial man...
