  • You guys are just Amazingly Great Sounding here, and this is a nice tribute to the music of Jimi, and a real treat for sure for all true JHE listeners everywhere. Thanks for all the GOOD VIBES!!!

  • Nice how you guys keep the spirit of it but not note for note, which music is not meant to be played note for note..Bravo

  • YOU'RE A DICK!

  • no asshole i'm not just very trueful

  • no you are an asshole, because you say somthing that everybody knows, yet you act like your Aristotle illuminating everyone as to what makes a good artist. Oh and improvising over other peoples music is artistic exspression.........so yea your pretty much an idiot, and an asshole

  • NO.... YOU'RE A DICK!!!

  • Yeah I agree. I basically say the same thing & people usually react the same way. It's not that big of a deal playing someone's established song that they created 30-40 yrs ago. It's good to learn their style and learn their thinking in composing the actual piece but only to a certain point. I play guitar also so I have more of a appreciation when the person tries to create their own song from scratch & be innovative, even if it may not sound to good @ times.

  • Playing someone elses song is a gateway to creating your own music. Everybody does covers, and everybody thats anybody made their spotlight shine doing covers. Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Band, Cream, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Santana, just to name a few. They have covered other people's work, and evolved from the songs that they covered to create their own style of music. It's called learning, not called copying. Yes it is a big deal, as a matter of fact, then.

  • Ouch, that is reallt good guys. Please keep them coming, his music lives through you

  • Great!5/5

  • Somebody caught on???????

  • Yepp! I lift my hat for you!

  • Wow...I watched Angel's cover of this song and saw your response....the roto leslie sounds real cool ! Groovey cover guys! *****

  • enriuqe this was a really nice take on hey baby , i like the leslie effect.power to the lefties.......

keep on rockin my brother !

  • Something about Hendrix's music which is so deep.

  • Its because its so darn complex and yet it never really comes across that way when done right... that is why its so incredible to see someone actually pull it off. This is a historical recreation right here!! I seriously doubt most people realize what an awesome thing that these guys are doing! Or why I think Enrique is a the coolest guitar player I've ever seen on youtube.

  • add that,,, there are about 20 minutes of guitar changes and progressions in this song and because of Hendrix's genius it flows in a seamless 9:30 masterpiece. Hendrix did to rock music what Scott Joplin did to saloon piano tunes of the late 1800's. Listen to some Joplin Rags and you see these kind of influential geniuses comes along about every 50 to 100 years. Thats why if someone doesnt put Hendrix as the number 1 rock guitar player of all time mean you hardly know didley squat! Period!

  • jeez. your a bit obsessed with these guys

  • Not really- just have been back to this song about 20 times so I guess I am obsessed with the song. I couldn't get it out of my head for about 2 weeks. Kept coming up with ideas for them sorry if I wrote too much. I guess I got a lot of ideas and opinions. But that's what happens when you're from NY!!!

  • Same, I personally like to see people taking Hendrix's music and doing their own thing with it, these guys pulled it off really well.

  • You did it right, very cool!!

  • This is Happy making music...old and new.. you are keeping it so alive..

What an awesome Band you are:-)..

I agree with and love all the comments made below also...Phenomenal...

  • Man !!!! I rediscovered this song after 30 years because of your performance here! Been hearing this song in my head all week. TOTALLY AWESOME HAD TO COME BACK AND TELL YOU!!! ITS ALMOST LIKE WHEN I BOUGHT THE SRV BOOTLEG ON EBAY!!!

  • Just watched it again.... you know who would love to see you guys do this... BBC go on a show there like letterman you will get all those baby boomers over there going crazy.!

  • I guess that Neil young realy took a lot from this song... (Hey Beby new rising sun)

When you hear cowgirl in the sand you know where he took that style!

    Awesome 5/5

  • Saw this on Vanderbilly about a week ago. I was totally astonished!! This is one of those complex Hendrix tunes that I haven't heard in many years... but I remember being blow away as a teenager hearing it thinking nobody could ever repeat playing it cause of it intense complexity but you seem to have nailed it! I was thinking Eric Clapton should give you a call to jam together. I was also impressed with your Jimi like voice. What more need I say??

  • I would like to see you record this in a studio with better mics and multiple camera angles. Think of all the Hendrix fans who have only heard this on an LP who would really enjoy seeing it being played! And btw to the bass guy. Nice job on the bends that is damn amazing!

  • Thanks for sharing this! I love the Copenhagen intro, very well done! Muy bueno, mi Amigo!

  • WOW! Dig brother!

  • This Music is awesome!

  • great stuff, how did u get the rights 2 play copyrighted music on u tube? seems like u from the jimi erra are u the same age is jimi if he was here?

  • You can play (as in cover) copyrighted music, as long the actual song- with Hendrix actually preforming it- isn't coming out of the speakers. Does that make sense?

  • :DDD

  • You're a giant Enrique, the Sg looks like a toy in your hand :) by the way great playin' from everyone !

  • great !!!

  • true man tmobil8 awesome song lads

  • I just learned to play this song a week ago... One of your best videos so far!!!!!!!!

  • One more thing, lol,

love the SG, i got one too.

    Best Regards guys. Peace...

  • Hey cats, it's Thomas,

let be the first to comment, first of all i have been watching, listening and implimenting some of your improv of Hendrix tunes for awhile now.

Hey Baby- New Rising Sun is by far one of your best, i know when Jimi was going into his emotional state of mind mid-68 he would really sit and write what he was feeling,

he really felt at peace when he broke out on his own without the management at the time to tell him what to do. Thank you!

  • think this is one of the best things I've seen on youtube in my 5 years or so checking out this site. I mean think about it.... Hendrix in this song found the love of his life and is actually proposing to her in a song. Thats pretty deep even for Hendrix. He wanted to write one of the deepest songs he ever wrote because of the that. So maybe its his most deep song ever (without drugs) accounting for its complexity and arguably reflects his personality better than any song of his. SEE SRV LENNY!
