I am looking for a video of a coal advert from britain when there was classical music in the background and these toys started getting up and dancing around any ideas send me a message
I was four at the time and I remember that advert! I don't remember being scared by it, but I do remember being very curious about how it had been made.
This must be the first year Debenhams used that style of ad (which they still used at Christmas 1988) - in 1985 they'd still been using the style of ad in use since at least 1982 (it's in one of co12006ie's uploads, I think).
That piece in the British Coal one was also used in the 'Alton Towers' ads of the 1990s/early 2000s.

you'd think that Selfridges would have spend more than 50p on their advert

I didn't really get the point they were trying to make in the Coke advert.

What's more scary is, some people can't even afford to put their fire on! Thank you British Gas.

Haha, I can't imagine any kid saying like "Mommy, can you get me some Colgate" so he can be 'hip' and 'cool' like the kids on the advert!! =)
