Its kind of funny that some people are judging the Japanese ppl's skills in robotics based on a novelty item. I normally don't say much about the Japanese, but the one thing I can truly say about them is that they are one of the masters of robotic engineering(the others are the Germans and the Swiss). If you folks don't believe me, just Google a company by the name of Nachi-Fujikoshi Corporation(Nachi, for short) They also have video of Nachi robots on YT.
