  • How do justice and equity figure into 'Appreciative Inquiry'? This kind of applied psychology is about management attempting to impose their self serving whims without dissent---lest front liners we be accused of negativity. A.I exists only to increase power and control for the corporate elite. This unfolded in my work place during the systematic destruction of many staff careers. A.I. was used as the most effective means to implement "change management" with the least possible resistance.

  • @socksumi It is really awful when people are laid off - it has happened in our family too. Those left in an organization most often feel terrible.

Appreciative Inquiry is one lens we can apply to what's going on in our lives and the world around try to make sense of both good and bad, happy and sad, fair and unfair, just and unjust. What we focus on grows, so keep focusing on justice and equity in generative ways and you will find them. Focus on manipulation and injustice you'll find them too

  • @jurostbe Problem is, no matter what I focus on, shit still happens because I am not the one in charge. Philosophically speaking, reality is not subject to our wishes, hopes or fears. Focusing ONLY on the positive betrays the law of identity and goes quite against making "sense" of things. This is exactly how corporate mentalities use "appreciative inquiry" to advance self serving agendas---by bamboozling it's front liners with manipulative behavioral psychology.
