really thinking bout going down to sebring with my e46. bout a 2 hour drive from me, looks really fun but you should have let us listen to that exhaust instead of music.
@Techmaster05 Takes me about 2 hours to get to Sebring also. If you want to listen to the exhaust note (Dinan) and take a look at the entire track, check out my other video: "My Record Lap at Sebring". It was shot with the Hero HD.
damn i would be afraid to race like this, I drag race all the time with my mustang but i would be afraid to hit another car on a race track like this, what are the chances of wrecking?
@pkidro This is considered "High-Performance Driving Education", or HPDE. When you first start out you have an instructor ride with you and teach you the racing line. All passing is controlled and the car being overtaken must give you permission to pass (watch for a hand sticking out). Once you move up the ranks in HPDE you'll be ready to race wheel-to-wheel. Look at TrackWeekend (the site) for more info on HPDE (lots of Mustangs) :)
@pkidro Yes, VIR - Virginia International Raceway - AWESOME track! We post events for VIR on TrackWeekend (the site), sign up and become a member - it's free!
What tires were you running? Track compound or street? You were smacking people around that track! I've never driven Sebring before. At 2:51, I was rooting for that GTI to stay in front of you but... Lol! If I ever make it out there again, I'd love to bring the GTI. Unfortunately, 180 hp means I'll be getting lapped more often.
@turbotazzy I was on R-Compounds, Nitto NT01 - great tires! That GTI was quick! I'd hear that turbo whine every time he'd floor it. I caught most of those guys in the breaking zones and in the corners. Sebring is a blast! I try to go there at least 2 or 3 times a year. Great place to bring your wife too - you can get a hotel room track-side with a balcony and she can just watch you from there.
Yeah, right? I was actually yelling at the corner worker for him to show the passing flag. What the video doesn't show is the 1.5 previous laps we were all stuck behind that corvette. I watched some of the other guys' videos and their gestures aren't quite as polite as mine :)
