They don’t make music like this anymore maybe I’m old but music should have a melody. Even I’m too sexy for my shirt is better than then the crap today. What ever happened to the soul of a song it’s just driven by producer’s there’s no soul. I can say I was born in the 50s lived in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and I have news for these so called singers try something new every new singer doesn’t have to sound black. There would have never been a bob Dylan by today standards.
I remember hearing this song late at night on a long distance radio station summer of 84. I was 17, just graduated from high school, the next day I bought the album and have loved it ever since. Glad I never saw this video until I was well into my decrepitude though . . . they look beautiful of course but what a buncha schlock - totally takes away from the video in my head heard through static on a teenage summer night.
Yeah, but MAD--onna, is a perverted, promiscues piece of shit, who nick other composers's songs; no? - then you better see the ocean of complaint on her at the PRS's archive in London
Vickie looks the best in this vid. I kinda like the Bangles prior look, just before their hits. With youtube, we can see old vids that u would normally never see anywhere else The pre-hit vids reveal the Bangles had a very cool, "homemade" retro look back in the early 80s--- like they invaded a thrift store and bought out all the available authentic 60s clothing. They have a good look here too, but I think the record co. had more to do with their 'style modification' than they themselves did.
