Accept Jesus as you lord and saviour or you will be denied salvation stinks of human manipulation for power. The religious/spiritual experience cannot be claimed by any one path, it is available to all. Anointing, grace, the holy ghost, all of these things have been described by other philosophies as well.
It is a cheap political trick to try and mix patriotism with Christianity. Doing these things will not engender you to anyone outside of your way of thought.
