In that aspect, you owe a lot to us and the French. You're sorely mistaken about who helped who in WW2, Canada was largely forced to help fight with the UK because at that stage, we still owned you. The country that gave the UK resources and money was the USA. But the country that saved our ass was Russia, end of story.

The whole special relationship between the US and UK stemmed from the fact they gave us money and weapons during the war. The only special relationship between Canada and the UK is the fact you are part of the commonwealth, AKA the old British empire. I have nothing but respect for Canada anyway.

South Africa under Nelson Mandela brought South Africa back to the Commonwealth for the status of a country with respectable standards. Even Zimbabwe doesn't want to leave the Commonwealth, it could be that the Commonwealth will dismiss Zimbabwe and even Fiji. Although it's not likely to dismiss Fiji, even if it should.
