  • perfect man! keep on doing this excelent work!

  • very nice Adrian, you're playing better than ever. Bon swing !

  • pretty amazing playing

  • i always want to play guitar. waltz in guitar is just perfect T___T

  • I just LOVE this song....and you play so beautiful!!!! I'm officially in love!!

  • Like

  • Great tune, Great playing!

  • always for the geeks

  • Hi, great play Adrian.

Do you have the tabs of this beautiful song?

  • @DustBuckley Same question!

  • such talent

  • got talent

  • nice, Adrian

  • Post a backtrack only, please!

  • @fundorinlive There is a great backing track already for this tune...it's actaully better than what this guy does because it has bass as well...although I really like this guy too. Just look for the Bistro Fada Backing Track video...and don't forget to post your performance video too!!! ANd if you need the tabs email BARWARREN at AOL he did a f star job of tab, transcription and a ProTab player version. Enjoy!

  • It's very strange how the opening phrase is played with 8 notes on the D string, and the first four of them with only the 1st and 2nd fingers...but if you want the right feel and sound that is the only way to get it. This is how both Stephane and Adrian finger it. Even though there are much more logical ways to finger the right notes, you don't get the right sound.

  • @ChetArrista I think using the two fingers is in tribute to Django Reinhardt and his style of play.

  • @N0rmad I had thought of that but I actually believe that is has to do with getting your 3rd finger in place for the hamer on/puul off notes on the D string [5-7-4]. If you hit the 7th fret A with your pinky you can't get the same dynamics and articulation. Pluse all the other good players are playing it this way too and I don't think everyone cares enough to emulate Django...they just want it to sound good.

  • This video, in combination with a guitar and the YouTube html5 beta video player that allows you to slow the video down, is a beautiful thing =) A tab would be nice as well though... Great job sir!

  • @cellomanpierce How do you get a player that slows down youtube videos???!!! That would be a huge in learning from guitar videos.

  • @ChetArrista Just google youtube html5 and it will be the first result... Youtube won't let me post the link in this comment...

  • @cellomanpierce Thanks I will try it!

  • @ChetArrista And you just join the trial, and it will become the default video player

  • played very well this gypsy waltz.

  • very nicely done, sir

  • Wow great playing on a beautiful waltz! Perfect!

  • I saw the movie last night and I had to find this song. It's great. The only thing about the movie is I would have liked to have seen a young Django playing somewhere in Paris...oh well lol lovely song.

  • @guitar5289

    Ditto!!!

  • very nice! just saw the movie (liked it a lot), and came here seeking just this sort of vid! I love that some folks want you to upload a slower one so they don't have to be bothered repeating it over and over....

  • I could learn how to play it, too, if I had Stephane Wrembel himselft at my house like you did earlier this year. :-) Seriously, you are a fantastic guitarist. Wish you would slow it down for the rest of us, though. I'm pretty good, but don't have the patience to listen and replay over and over....which is what it would take for me.

  • Top Banana

  • Parabéns meu velho! Forte abraço

  • Holy Shit, That's perfect

  • This might be a stupid question, but I'm a beginner in this style, and in the melody section, do you only strum with your thumb?

  • Infectious , haunting !

  • Left video doesnt follows the music

  • @Zealnor yeah it does

  • C'est merveilleux :)

  • BRAVO;BRAVISSIMO!!!

  • Hey, Any chance you could list the chords your playing for the backing track? ta

  • Bravo!!!!

  • Super! Can you please send me the tabs if you got em?

  • @SirEnte93 hello if u found the tab can u send to me please? tnx

  • this guy is a great master! greetings from Araxá, Minas Gerais - Brasil

  • nice video :)

  • j'aime cette musique:-)

  • Just wonderful!

  • fantastic!! I feel happier. thanks

  • AWWESEEESOME!!! o_o

  • GREAAAT job.

  • I must congratulate you on the extraordinary performance. As one of your subscribers I learned about this tune from here, but even after listening to the original and bunch of other performers I keep getting back here for more. Simply amazing!

  • it's fantastic!!! where can i find please the scores of this sheet music?

    thanks in advance!!!

  • you're in my favourite now.

  • Hey Adrian,

I just love this track and your interpretation of it.

Could you publish the chords of the rhythm section ?

(I discovered Gipsy Jazz just 3 weeks ago)

Also, I finally know now why that python framework is called 'Django'.

Never thought about it, but it all makes sense now ;-)

  • @adrianholovaty Great play!. Which kind of guitar is this? I've seen on videos of people who play reinhardt-like music but I've never been able to find out what's called or something. It's obviously some kind of acoustic but what's the difference between this and a regular acoustic. Can you use both steel and nylon strings. Thanks!

  • @iammodano Thank you! It's a gypsy jazz guitar; see video description for full details. You can find them at sites like DjangoBooks and Caravan Guitars.

  • brilliant.

  • where is the hat?? i need to put some money in, cuz i really loved this :D

  • absolutely lovely! thanks!

  • great work

  • A sense of style and passion is what this! Music from the older eras is always the best kind to hear, you made what is considered "old fashion" new again with every lick of your nylon!

  • hey dude! could you upload the chords of the left guitar? the tabs are easily available in internet, but the second voice not!!!

  • You've just saved me a great deal of time. Saw the movie last night and had to play it. Thanks a bunch.

  • Hi. I'm playing a harmonica and would like to transcribe this theme on my own, but I really need and accompaniment guitar part. Could you, please, share it with me?

  • What model of guitar is that? I've been looking to get a similar one myself.

  • Bravo!

  • son gemelos O.O

  • AMAZING!

  • NICE ONE, may i ask for the tabs/ score/ guitar pro? thanks

  • WTF?? You're incredible. Jimi Hendrix of accoustic guitar :D

  • Bistro Fada, written and performed in the movie by Stephane Wrembel, a tune named after one of the Brooklyn restaurants where Stephane frequently performs.

  • beautiful! thx

  • Very good..., you have the transcript in pdf? I would like to have it if possible. greetings and congratulate you again.

  • That is an excellent performance and i love the double screen video. You don't need to apologize about minor synching issues late in the recording--close enough! Good liner notes, too. I've just started working on this piece and I'm sure I will watch and refer to this video again. I salute you!

  • This is amazing! I've seriously listened to this about 20 times. :)

  • you make a mistake at 2:33. not very good :(

    just kidding, this is awsome

  • i love how every time you nail one of the licks, you get this huge "I'm Awesome" smirk on your face.

You earned that arrogance my friend, you earned it.

  • @cero0espada The smirk happens when I make a mistake!

  • @cero0espada

Believe me, Adrian is NOT arrogant. He's a very modest guy, with an awesome talent. Another beautiful video, Adrian. Keep 'em comin'!

  • adrian, I don't know what it is about this upload.

    But it's my new favorite.

Maybe it's the masterful way that people have found to make an instrument tell it's story and still be able to tap your toes to.

    yeah, thats it.
