the one thing I'm allways guilty of is going overboard with the compressor (ending up drowning out all ther sounds, and you have to adjust everything later on when mixing in more elements), oh yeh, by the way...thx for the informative info....Thx...!!
yeh it can take a bit of setting up, though once you get it right it can sound nice and sweet...!, it would be good if you could silence the output of the kick and still have the pumping effect on your bassline in a breakdown when there is no kick present to induce it, maybe by sending the kick to audio out 3+4......??, I haven't attempted this but would this work, I don't think it does...?
Very cool that you break that down for us. Its interresting to see how your stuff is done. I like the compressor effect you did there whit the synthparts and the kickdrum. Im gonna play some more on my EMX-1. I love that thing! Anywazz Respect! Keep it up!
a reply would be greatly appreciated

hey man! how did you do the sidechain pump effect with the synth and kickdrum?
Props! thanks for posting!

i did it by sending kick and Synths to the one same compressor!! without using LFO :)
in this case, the point we should care is volume balance.
Synths must be sent to compressor with its volume lowered than kick.
