Jim, I've been waiting to see something like this for a long, long time...since I can't make the trip to the museum myself. Thank you so very much. rb
You're very welcome. You might want to try the phoebe a. Hearst museum website. Key word: Yahi, Ishi. there are many pictures there. Thanks for the comment. I happy there are other people out there who care about Ishi.
Wow really neat! I think I remember either seeing a photo of Ishi wearing that deer head, or reading about it, while he was deer hunting with a bow and arrow. He really made a big difference with his life's last few years, bigger than he realized I suspect.
I agree. Ishi was an incredible human being. I knap in the same style as him when I make my small arrowpoints. I'll be posting some videos soon. I just bought my camcorder but editing is a pain!
ageed editing is a pain. do you use a puchased editing program or the free MS one? i bought the 100 buck editing one and it is okay, don't know it is worth 100 or not though.
The program that came with the camcorder is really bad and hard to use. I just went ahead and bought Cyberlink Power Director V4 off of ebay for 10 bucks. There is a new version 7 out but it was 70.00. I'm sure it will do what I need it to. Maybe in a week or two I'll be posting some decent footage.
You're welcome. As I get things going here at youtube, and when I get a real camcorder, I'll be posting more on Ishi. He is at the forefront of my study of Native American crafts.
