  • That's some nice shredding.

  • fried chicken,wtf,no soul,no feeling .

  • widdly diddly doo

  • This works fine to me, I don`t know the "d-activator" sorry.

  • Hey speedy can you put that stuff in to a song next time?

  • Hola compa que ampli usa en el video me gusta caleta ese tipo de distorcion !

  • en realidad es la distorsion de un pod 2.0 en el modo marshal jcm800 con un ampli behringer bien malo :)

  • es un pod 2.0 en modo marshall jcm800 con un behringer bien malo.

  • Nice!

  • @jaydog664 Tone Zone is by far a better pickup in my opinion m8

  • Nice technique, really clean picking.

  • Thanx :)

  • are those pickups f-spaced?

  • This guy does have that can't touch this arrogant look on his face and I bet he spends more time prepping his hair than most women. He plays good but he's not astonishing.

  • My hear is natural :) hahahaha, nice comment ;)

  • this "music" is sooo terrible...

  • hola, che me recomendarias el tone zone para trash y heavy metal clasico?

toco basicamente esos estilos con mi banda, pero tambien me gusta el sonido estilo van halen (tanto solos como ritmos)...se q anda perfecto para heavy metal clasico...lo que nose como es para trash...se que tiene muchos graves y no quiero q cuando le ponga mucha ganancia sea una bola de ruido :P

    gracias de antemano

  • hey dude great playing!!!!

i am in a big dilemma....

the ibanez rg3550mz has the air norton and the tone zone...

and the ibanez rg3520ze has the emgs

and i am playing heavy music.. like necrophagist , severed savior you know... death metal...

and the rg3550mz looks realy good ... way better than the rg3520ze...

but i dont know if the dimarzios can blow heavy riffs like the emgs and i also dont know what is better for agressive playing... the maple fingerboard or the rosewood...

    ty for helping

  • Nice, but honestly you sound like every other shredder out there.

  • hey dude, which pickup should i choose in your opinion?

i have a les paul with stock pickups and i want a bridge pickup for metalcore,

like Bullet for my Valentine and Atreyu and stuff.

    which pickup do you recommend?

  • hey y el fielling jaja

  • hey...u play very very well... can i ask some question?? is it very big difference of changing pikcup and using the stock???i have an ibanez S670fm with stock pickup... and i planning to change to dimarzio tonezone and airnorton... will it sound really different from the stock?

  • Hey dude! I don't know if you already changed the pickup since this comment, but the answer to your question is a BIG YES! Changing the pickups opens a new world. I use the ToneZone and an EvoNeck in one of my guitars and it is pure awesomeness.

  • @JerryLee87

Hell yeah will it make a difference :D

  • Hi there, man. I really love that kind of playing, and you do it just right. Grettings from Serbia!

  • hey man, would you recommend tone zone to play stuff like power metal and progressive metal? and that's awesome playing btw

  • Hi, of course, your tone also comes from your rig and fingers as well, happy new year!!

  • thanks man, likewise :)

  • Hey! I have a question about your speed picking.

How did you practice and how long?

  • Hi, I play a couple hours every day nothing hard, just up down things, but with a tempo and slow and fast, its funny when slow its must dificult, happy new year!!!

  • @carrizoguitar Nice playing! Yer, I find that playing/learning the scales slower is much harder for me too. Then when sped up, my fingers lose a heap of tension and play much smoother, with more clarity. Weird huh!

  • thanx for your answer!, I appreciate it.

Happy new year to you too!

  • fuck :O

  • lol you look so bored, show a little more soul.

  • thanks, I tried the nex time, happy new year!

  • ;) ok

  • Anyone tried Dimarzio's Fred in the neck position?

  • I'm putting Dimarzios in my guitar, I'm having a super distortion in the bridge, and I was wondering if a Tone Zone would be ok in the bridge? Or should I just go with a PAF Pro?

  • Shit I mean Tone Zone in the neck

  • I think maybe the tone zone in the neck its to bass range, i think, but if you want a bass tone, its work fine.

  • I have the "Tone Zone" in the bridge on my 85' Gibson "V" & it sounds awesome!!!

I wanted something a little heavier sounding (metal like I guess you could say) w/o getting an active pick-up. It has great bottom end and the highs cut well too! And for $65. you can't really beat it!

Oops I just noticed you meant to say neck (comment below). haha Anyway, it's a really nice sounding pick-up!

  • amp??I like your tone!!

  • The amp its a basic behringer combo stereo, with line 6 pod 2.0 marshall emulation :)

  • carrizoguitar, sweet tone! Nice playing too. I've been using Tone Zones since 1992. I remember seeing the Dimarzio poster with Paul Gilbert endorsing them. Them I found out he actually played them and had to try it. It's literally the only bridge pickup I've used since. I did use a PAF Pro in the neck but recently switched my neck pickup to a Fred. Basically a PAF Pro with slightly boosted mids and just a touch hotter. Even though it's primarily a bridge pickup it sound great with the Tone Zone!

  • Yeah! I m very happy with this tone, but now I tried the same configuration in my Ibanez RG, maybe put some video in this days :), in fact I suport Stratovarius in Chile with my band, and I use the Ibanez with tone zone/paf pro and make the job!!

    Cheers!!

  • hey i think u are awesome!!Can u tell me what your live rig is ?And you think about the pod x3 ?And which dist pedals would be ideal for shredding??

  • Hi, thanks, pod 2.0 - xt - x3 very good desition, if you cant carry a big rig, this make the job just perfect, I use a marshall jcm 2000 in live my guitar and the amp, nothing more, a little reverb, sometimes I dont have de head, so I put a pod 2.0, or a simple behringer gdi21 (tech 21 clone, same tone) and a turbo overdrive, the tone its great, with the right pickups there is no way to have a bad sound my friend, greetings!!!

  • sweet vid man , what Dimarzio duo would be best for my Ibanez rg370dx, I don't mind the middle pickup i just want new bridge and nexk pickups, an example i heard of was tonezone in bridge and air norton in neck but i am sure there are other combos also, i like to play rock and metal (Halen, Zeppelin, megadeth, dream theater, ACDC etc.) thanks

  • Hi, I think this combination goes fine with any kind o rock music, its a mix between high tones and very low tones, so it depends a lot from your pedal as well, the paf joe its a very good option to the neck position.

    Cheers from Chile..... Carrizo XD

  • This is bizare! Amazing

  • thanks for this shitty demo

  • your welcome

  • I love youtube, anybody can post a video of themself noodling around. This didn't really describe to me what the tonezone sounds like very well, honestly that's why I watched the vid. thinking about getting a cheap stop tail ibanez and souping it up with some good pickups.

  • you get what you pay for... cheap guitar lol

  • @junkyjuice21 i did that. Got an ibanez SA series and chucked in some tonezones. I was starting out at the time, but people told be about tonezones. So i naively put them in. Makes metal sounds awesome like you wouldn't believe. I don't use them for anything clean though

  • The very reason for this vid is in the description, sorry if don`t help you.

    Cheers!!

  • From what wood does the body made of?

  • I just put a Dimarzio D Sonic in my Washburn MG30. I am truly satisfied. I am wondering if you have had any experience with this pickup. If not, may I ask that you check them out and give me your opinion?

  • hello I own a musicman petrucci signature and to me air norton custom JP and D-sonic sound great and there a real complementarity between the sounds they produce !!

next month I will buy a tone zone and a air norton to set on my RG 2550 EGK

    let see what happens !

  • Thanks for your input. I just sold a ToneZone to buy the D Sonic. I was satisfied with the tone zone but wanted a change. I have never owned an air norton myself. Thanks again.

  • I just put an air norton and d-sonic in my Ibanez 7-string and as NAThan said, it's just beautiful. If you ever have the opportunity to fiddle with one, try it out. You might be seduced into getting that one as well lol I myself want to try out the Tone Zone sometime cause I like it's distinctive sound.

  • Please let me know what happens. I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

  • samick signature series

  • GREAT MAN!

  • Oh hell yessss:DD Good playing:)) But since this is a video showing your pickups, I'll pierce you with a question:D I have a basswood body Ibanez, and was considering a bridge PU change. In your opinion, what should I go for: the ToneZone, the X2N or the AirNorton? Which would fit a nice bitey sound better?

  • tone zone, great bass and middle range, the X2N its to mouch bright for me ;)

  • Very Yngwie, Very awesome!!

  • I think that EMG is a good pickup too, always depends on the sound you want, any of the 2 is a good option.

  • thats some yngweie malmsteen lick xD. im thinking about getting this pickup to my rr24 guitar, instead of the emg pickup. is it worth it?

  • Great sound and amazing playing technique!

I have never used these Dimarzio pickups you have but the sound is beautiful especially for neoclassical style. For arpegios, tappings, etc.

I have the Dimarzio X2N Power Plus pickup in the bridge position of my Ibanez RGA 321F, but it sounds totally different.

  • Thank you very much, the paf pro its very warm I think, its a clean and nice tone, the tone zone works fine with riffs and tapping as well. Try move the EQ parameters, this pickups have a nice middle and bass tone.

    Greetings

  • that samick is an rg wannabe

  • Yeah, but Samick probably built all or most of the Korean RG's.

  • and what makes you think that? not meaning to sound like an ass haha just wondering

  • ive read it somewhere samick did make almost all the korean ibanez out there..

  • oh sweet man, i didnt know that, thanks for the info =D

  • I have a ToneZone in my Washburn MG30 and I have never been happier with that choice. I have the stock single coils in the neck and bridge and the three of them work perfectly. Amazing playing and your tone is just awesome. What ya got for amps/effects?

  • ok, its a behringer v-tone gmx212 amp, clean channel, and line6 pod 2.0 british distortion with a little hall reverb, just a little.

    Cheers!!

  • is it tone zone in the bridge?

  • Exactly !!

  • Is that an alder body guitar?

  • I don't know that, sorry bro.

  • It's no big deal, but thanks anyways man.

  • Cleannn. Sounds distinct.

  • Lol you look like Tom Araya from Slayer :P

  • :) hahaha

  • wat woold be a more versatile bridge paf pro or the tone zone

  • I have tone zone in the bridge. Its work good in this samick guitar :)

    Cheers :)

  • i wudnt expect this tone out of a samick guitar good job th PUs are great

  • Thank you very mouch :)

  • Nice tone and outrageous playing!

I'm thinking to get the same pickups for my Ibanez S series, but I haven't seen any review of those on a mahogany solid body guitar! Which model is your guitar? Which wood is it made of?

  • wicked dude! That's some kickass shedding!!

I'm getting the same pick-up put in my gibson SG right now, so I'm glad to hear what there are capable of sounding like.

  • Awesome playing!

  • Thanks man !!
