My grandfather was just diagnosed with merkel cell carcinoma yesterday. He's like a father to me, since he raised me and whatnot. It did go into his lymph nodes, so this did not help my fears at all. :( It's all so scary.
My dad currently has this cancer and at first doctors thought it was just blood build up so they told him that it will go away after a while so it grew to the size of half of his hand almost.

Is it possible that the diagnosis, post excision, could be wrong since there are so few cases?
