I've always loved visiting the USS Texas. A lot of people don't know the true significance of this ship. I'm glad to live in the state that bears this ship's name unlike Missouri where they'll never be able to have their state-named battleship docked anywhere near their state. LOL. Long live the USS Texas.
Must have been a rumour that got out of hand. That was the last I had personally heard of the Missouri, when they decommissioned her in '91. Good that they didn't give in to the temptation to scrap her

What the heck are you talking about? The USS Missouri (BB-63) is now a museum in Hawaii, near the USS Arizona memorial
