  • You spelled seriously with a 'J'. Uhh...

  • THANK YOU! Someone who also hates realism! I WANT MY GAMES TO HAVE RAINBOW COLOURS DAMMIT

  • I know that I'm late, but nice vid....as usual.

  • O_O Legend!

  • Wait a minute... Game Overthinker.

    GAME OVER-thinker!

    BRICKS HAVE BEEN SHAT!

  • And this is why the realism arguments of a lot of "Gundam should be realistic" or "Aw, Super Robots suck because they ain't realistic enough" FAIL (Despite falling in a very different category of entertainment, I find their F^(%!#@ arguments to fall in similar contexts as the arguments towards having Realism as a goal)

  • Comment removed

  • I think realism worked fucking beautifully in Mirror's Edge.

  • @ZLFaurora That's because it worked as a tool for the game rather than being the goal of that game.

  • Well, look at kirby's epic yarn. they focused so much on making it look awesome, that it received a lot of bad cred on not spending enough time on the gameplay and the fact that it had almost nothing to do with any other kirby game other that some familiar faces.

  • I wonder how real the games can be. Someone I know said that he saw a PC with HD which had better graffics than the real world and I was like WTF are you talking about? Can you understand how stupid that sounds?

  • I like being reminded why I enjoy your videos bob.

  • So the overthinker did it before extra credits.

  • Resident Evil 5 rocked, Shevas fucking hot in that costume

  • @FrankWest125

No one's debating whether she is hot. People of color, especially women, are marginalized enough in Movies/Video Games/Everything, they don't need to be insulted further with this nativeblackface bullshit. MOVIEBOB needed to point that out how racist it was.

  • @likecrunchyness Man your dumb, quit trolling.

  • Realism mods are what made the Stalker game (you know, another dirty and gritty FPS) into the most fun single player experience for me. It's atmospheric, immersive and masochistically hard. The game is about surviving under extreme conditions.

As much as I like psychedelic mindfuck in my games, I like the other side of the coin too.

  • lol- GI joe sucked

  • I love the flameflower

  • quest for glory easily rapes all other games ever made

    fact

  • me playing gta4:

HAHA HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME! I'MMA CRASH THIS HELECOPTER INTO THE POLICE STATION AND BLOW IT UP!

*helicopter bounces off and blows up on the street below*

i think i'm gonna go play super mario world 2.

  • The real world has LOTS of fetch quests!

  • Nintendo's always been good at choosing an art direction, like Pikmin or Donkey Kong. They choose to make their games with cartoon style graphics because they develop cartoon style games

  • Also, regardless of how deatailed a character model, things that we don't see in real life such as robots and aliens will always look like cartoons. No matter what. That's not an insult, and hopefully game designers and filmmakers will ultimately embrace this. Unfortunately, that's not how consumerism works and we'll be forced to cringe through highly detailed cg cartoons that can render the subtlest of emotion but be full of nothing but bad references and fart jokes.

  • I just now see what you are saying, Bob. I'm finding higher resolutions and more polygons just create to much visual noise and makes things seem more visually incoherent. Xbox and Gamecube graphics impressed me because of how they managed to still have the art shine through the limited hardware. That's a less impressive feat nowadays, but it's still prevalent in haves like Mass Effect and Bioshock, where the focus was more than just photorealism but good art design.

  • This is true in cod 4 shoot throw a wall or door where theirs a enemy behind it they die, good right?

    WRONG

    the door has no hole

and i cant open the door only my teammates can. also how am i meant to take this "war" seirously when if i get hit by a bullet A i recover a minute after and B I just got shot. i would not be still holdng a fucking gun.

  • PAPER MARIO AT 7:45!

  • "It's drab. It's dingy. Quality control is a fucking joke. A-cups are far too prevalent. Nobody can fly and all the dinosaurs are dead."

That may be one of the most brilliant lines I've ever heard on youtube.

  • 2:47 Here, here

  • @moviebob

Why are bitching about this? Just go find that red key!

  • Hes completely right, anime is having the same problem D:

  • question: Why was it that this show wasn't used on the Escapist, I know you have your know thoughts now as a show, and you aren't called movie bob for nothing, but why not this show? Is it because of Extra Credits is doing (and no offense) a better job so you figure not to let the fans think your a copy cat. If so I understand and I will keep enjoying this. Oh yeah and guys, its a game, if I wanted realism, I would just live life.

  • @Tenkagethewise Its because they dont have enough money to pay him 3 times a week for different shows :D, plus even bob has acknowledged the fact that extra credits is superior to his show on gaming

  • lol "A cups are far too prevalent, nobody can fly" hahahaha

  • Woah. This video was uploaded on September 11th. Significance?

  • life is a prison, the only way out is video games.

    don't take it serious.

  • haha but

  • The Incurrate photo always kills me.

  • Amen! If you can't pull it ALL off, just don't fucking pretend to.

Game developers gotta start getting it.

  • 6:52 - It does if you're Scott Pilgrim :)

  • @Smownage you notice that TF2 doesn't look realistic yet it's an incredibly successful online FPS, out of the miriads of fps games. Realism was cool and all back when gaming was young but gaming has flip flopped so that the games that stick out aren't realistic.

  • TF2 dev team knew that with all the fun elements they wanted to include, realism wouldn't have worked. so they just made it unrealistic and it's my fave fps!

  • GI Joe not suck like Transformers? hahahaha. irony.... time loves it!

  • I sorta felt the same way about Grand Theft Auto 4. In a game that strives for 'go anywhere, do anything' why wasn't I able to just talk to people on the street by pressing a button, like I can in almost every game ever created? Now, I know that having said characters say typical NPC stuff like "Press start to access the menu" wouldn't jive with realism either but at least GTA 4 would've included a way to communicate with non-important characters without getting arrested.

  • the tranformers movie dont suck

  • thank Valve for Team Fortress 2.

  • Why are you making a big deal about the door! Just go get the red key!!!

  • Okami. That's what we need. More Okami, we can see it's painted! If we need an exorcism key, I'll grab one. I'll accept my bombs don't work!

  • I really want to know where the "hardcore gamer" picture comes from

  • @ihatelife14529

Check out a much beloved but mostly forgotten movie from 1984 titled "Revenge of the Nerds".

It's one of those "Defining Movies of the 80's".

  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 is the ultimate video game example of the uncanny valley.

  • Some of your shit IS REALLY fucking childish, some of it is alright.

  • Like Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 5 can kill a man by punching him in the ass. Least he can break doors.

This reminds me of the overkill reality in Modern Warfare 2, yet the storyline has Russia invading and destroying Washington D.C. and a nuke being dropped on the city knocking a satellite out of the sky with the EMP.

  • Clerks 2 is better than Chasing Amy? That's complete bullshit.

  • Too late, GI Joe sucked.

Although Sienna Miller looks great in tight leather though.

  • thats why realistic games with destructive environments are the way forward e.g. red faction: guerrilla

  • 2:00 - 3:00 i COMPLETLY agree!!! i dont like realalistic games that much, i mostly like fantasy games.

  • Oh guess he was pissed from gi joe then........cause it did suck

  • there is still lots of styles!

abstraction/surrealism - And Yet It Moves

    hand drawn - Machinarium

    satire - Stalin vs Martians

    caricature - Team Fortress 2

    painting style - Braid

  • @isakelo Yeah but.... Just count how many of these imaginative games there are compared to the onslaught of puke brown FPS (BTW i hate FPS with the exception o valve games) He didn't say there aren't any other styles, except back then this creativity was the RULE and not the EXCEPTION!!

  • @Terryracoon hey, wasnt it the game overthinker himself that introduced many of us to Sturgeons law? yeah ofcource most FPSs are shiet, most of EVERYTHING is shiet!

  • But what about making sci-fi or fantasy look more realistic like something along the lines of Mass Effect 2 or, Sonic '06. (Yes, I've heard how terrible Sonic '06 is, but you have to admit that the graphics looked really good.)

  • @CrazyCheeseMagee I think that's what he was getting at when he mentioned Bioshock, how realism is good when it makes non-real things seem real.

Anyway, good stuff, Bob, hoping for more on Screwattack soon.

  • I as going to ad something until I saw you mention it at the end of the video, sometimes I do like realism, some of my favorite games of recent years are the Persona and the Yakuza series, arguably they're some of the least realistic games, the former includes hidden worlds and the latter you punch tigers in the face, but because they present themselves in a realistic world it becomes easier for me to believe the crazy things it has.

  • P.S.: I did stare at my turned off tv at midnight after playing Persona 4, it's that immersive.

  • @TheBlackCloakedMan I know. I should have watched the entire video before commenting.

  • I don't dig realism in my games either.

  • Tatsunoko VS Capcom is FUCKING AWESOME, especially when you can get it from Zavvi for £17!

  • dinosaurs are dead? So you've never seen a living pigeon? That's funny, because I see them every day.

I geuss I live in the city of infinite dinosaur zombies.

    Woah... that sounds really cool.

  • You should draw up some concept art and sell it to a development company. Because I would totally play that.

  • The gi joe movie was good but I didn't see the show

  • Too true, I was playin fallout 3 today and I was stopped by a small metal fense because I dident have the key..... I had 80 FUKING NUKES on me and I cant blow up, or atleast jump a fucking fence....... WTF!!!!

  • 2:34-2:56 i second that

the freaking casual gamers think that realistic games are the best cuz THEY ARE REALISTIC

heck, if i wanted something realistic i would live real life itself but since real life sucks i play videogames

  • A-Cups=TOO PREVALENT.

  • overthinker you hit the target on the over saturated market of realistic graphics im glad nintendo went a another way than everyone else,i like my 360 but i love my wii

  • I'd love to play a game that played like this, multiple solutions even though you were told to FIND A KEY.

  • "A-cups r far too prevalent" HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • i thought clerks2 was terrible on every level

  • Dude stick to reality your basically apart of it.

  • Your views in this video remind me of the things Chris Crawford has said in regards to bringing realism into games.

  • It also known as the Joan Rivers effect

  • HAHAHA I laughed so hard at that

  • lol gears of war realistic

  • I love how Viewtiful Joe is in the Tatsunoko VS Capcom game. I'm gonna give the game a serious look.

  • maybe mario is touched inappropriately and thats why he makes that face?

  • Realism killed GTA4 for me. San Andreas was about having fun. GTA4 was milking that realism gimmick a bit too much.

Realism helped in Call of Duty 4 a ton for me. Those graphics made crawling through the underbrush in a gillie suit pulsepounding. Half Life mixes real and fantasy perfectly as well.

  • @Mongoose007

Half life's immersion hardly has anything to do with graphics, I think it's like "here's a lab, you work here, world explodes. good luck"

  • my biggest probkem with realism is... hmm. i'll just give an example. COD you die and then what's this? respawn clock? awesome! i hope thats what happens when i die in real life... :)

  • You see, the game was infused with a little bit of jesus. =3

  • Would it be better if you died in COD, the game disc would crack and you couldn't play it again?

Unless you bought the game again.

  • @loafofbread300

if you're buddhist it will ( i apoligize if I offend anyone)

  • Tatsunoka vs Capcom looks freakin awesome!! So glad it's comin out here. Another great video by the way..

  • Hey buddy, I give A cups an A+.

  • Oh and if you're worried about games looking real but not being realistic Just wait until Heavy Rain. I'm looking forward to it but I'm sure there will be some things in there that aren't real at all even if they look it. There's your uncanny valley.

  • Oh Summer Glau you were great in both Firefly and Terminator: the Sarah Connor chronicles but both series were cut down before they had a chance to really take off. either by a network assuming that no one was watching it or by the same network calling it the best new show on TV and then after the season ends on a great cliffhanger to decide it's too expensive to keep making yet shows that are special effects heavy like Stargate SG1 can last ten seasons(it was good too) is total bullshit to me.

  • I think I prefer realism / fantastic realism as an artistic style in videogames, but I completely agree that companies trying to make all their games look realistic (even when it conflicts with the style of gameplay) is a terrible current trend. It just doesn't work for all games, and the full palette of styles should be considered when making a game. Another great vid btw.

  • I love this guy's movie reviews, i love his style, i love his ballsy opinionated attitutude.

But recently I've massively been feeling that he just hasn't played enough games. Genuinely, I think he's played too few genres.

like... find the red key? when's the last time I ever saw that one pulled, doom 2?

in fact, I just can't remember playing a game where I had to eventually go through a wooden door but needed to wait for something arbitrary.

on the other hand i'm picky about what I buy.

  • Hey dont you noticed that although Bob is a nintendo fanboy, I never heard of him talked about the new and good things coming from nintendo systems.

I never heard of him praising Muramasa Blade, or Talk about the Blob, or Scribblenauts.

  • I have to correct you on one point moviebob. Realism in videogames have always been more incline with western technology rather than the japanese do. It is the driving force of development of hardware and software, secondary would be the gameplay. Which is in contrast to what the Japanese use it for. As we know Japanese use videogames as one part entertainment and one part training system for the mind.

  • Although I agree on some points I have to say that some games do benefit themselves from realistic settings. Uncharted and MGS4 for example wouldnt be the same if they had cartoonish graphics or fantasy settings. They have a lot of sience ficition elements but the fact that theyre grounded in reality makes you believe it could happen. Getting rid of realism is not the answer. Yes, we are aproaching to the uncanny valley but thats just a stepping stone for graphics to become pelaseantly realistic

  • What program do you use to make these movies?

  • playstation I?

  • So, how about that Desert Bus game in Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors?

    MOST REALISTIC GAME EVER

  • This reminds me about something I read about with comics. David Mazzucchelli, of Batman Year One, said that the more realistic you make a superhero, the more obvious the absurd portions of the genre come to light. The more realistic they become, the less realistic they truly are.

  • HOLY CRAP, I've been making this point myself for SO LONG.

YES. YES. YES. Making games merely LOOK more realistic can cause SEVERE issues of dissonance when things turn out to be unrealistic.

I rather enjoyed the sprites of Final Fantasy VI. But I hated the "box" hands on Final Fantasy VII characters, for example.

  • Remember in The Legend of Zelda, when you used a key to open a door, you'd lose that key? I never really thought about it until recently, but, why can't you use it over and over? I guess the keys disappear with the doors or something. It's like the Game Overthinker said, there's not much room to wonder about this stuff when this is something that obviously isn't real.

  • couldn't agree more

  • I agree, "realism" sucks, i love fantasy because we can't have it in real life. Yes, dinosaurs are dead and that's why Jurassic Park kicked so much ass, but in games and movies they can be. And as for the uncanny valley, i hate their logic so much; such as you described breaking down a wooden door

  • I can dig realism in games were it fits, but there are other games that would be better off by being less realistic.

Me and my buds picked up Marvel UA2 last week, and we just kind of shrugged off the game. Yeah, it looked good, but we all felt the XMen Legends games had it right in using the cel-shaded comic style.

MUA2 isn't bad, but that comic look in XML added tons to the look.

Basically, find what fits, and work off it.

  • January 26, 2010

    Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, FTW

  • Thank God, the one on ScrewAttack had messed up audio, at least for me.

  • Yes I had similar issues with the video on screw attack, though all I had to do was try playing it later, it worked fine on my second try.

  • Really? Maybe I should try watching it there again sometime.

  • I am SO going to use this next time someone complains about how lame Champions Online is because it looks like a comic book....

  • That's one of the biggest issues. Reality is something people want to escape, so when realism is a goal for games, then everybody can only play real stuff. Sometimes I like the cartoony stuff for something interesting and new. But if I'm playing a World War 2 game, then yes plenty of realism please. But if I'm fighting dinosaurs in the future, it can be something totally different.

  • What about Battlefield: Bad Company? Blow crap up.

  • ...Did he just say Clerks 2 and Zack and Miri were "intelligent" and "insightful"?

  • The director.

  • in their own way yes they are

  • @roffles64 well all kevin smith flims were if you pay attention to them

  • @roffles64 Did you watch those movies?

  • I wouldn't have commented if I hadn't of seen them.

  • @roffles64 he did, I'll agree with clerks 2....sort of, it did show that that era of dante and randell's life (and I guess kevin smiths too) is over, but its not a bad thing, the whole end scene is great

  • I 100% agree moviebob. I knotted my head through out this video let a bobble head. I have always argue with my gamer jock classmates that super realist graphics in video games is not all that it is crack up to be. I love the Breath of Fire series (Why hasn't there been another game since Dragon Quarter. That game was awesome IMHO.) because my main character can turn into a fucking dragon..... That doesn't happen in the real world.

  • he uncanny valley is so true...look at all the hate people direct at bad CGI in movies.

  • good ranting, Bob! =) I see your point, and I agree with you, but hopefully, all the Realism obsession is nothing but a fad... a loooooong fad :P but like everything that's in one day, and out the next, it eventually tires off, and things cool down a bit =) for ex, WWII shooters only come out once or twice each month these days! hooray! LOL :D

and yup, maybe there's light down the tunnel, with all the recent "motion control" fad... which I personally hate, but it's all a matter of taste! ;)

  • Reality sucks, thats what vodka is for.

  • ...and all the dinosaurs are dead!

  • if i was a woman, i wold make sex with you. A lot of my friends (girls) would like it.

  • Real life dosent have fetch quest? You've never been a janitor.

  • I just want to thank you for this episode, MovieBob. It really, really made me think. While I'd often noticed how wooden doors and wooden walls and other things you could bust apart/through in the REAL world are often impassable objects in VIDEO GAMES despite LOOKING real -- I never really formulated these thoughts into a monologue or even a minor point in a journal entry.

Now, wouldn't that be interesting if, one day, someone releases a game with fully-destructible terrain? It could happen.

  • and it probaly will

  • N'Gai Croal is awesome.

Don't mess with the dreds next time.

  • My God Movie Bob - You have never been so right sir. Reality Bites doesn't hold up at all. In fact, this makes me question everything our generation lauded.

I wholeheartedly agree. This realism trend takes me out of the game too. I just fell in love with you,

  • Mortal Kombat is realistic?

  • This is why I like nintendo, they do not stride on realism, they stride on originality and actual fun, not how many hours you log in online or crap like that.

  • I agree. Developers could stand to use more different and interesting art styles in games in this day and age. And if they do use realism, at least make it make sense. (Not being able to burn a wooden door down sounds like a pretty crappy scenario.) Team Fortress 2 is a step in the right direction for FPS games with it's unrealistically-built characters, I will admit.

  • Two most recent = two best episodes.

And I've been saying this for a while: 3D has it's place, but it doesn't have to be the freaking rule.

But we're screwed. They care about money. New+exciting sells.

2.5 games look weird (when they try to be 2D) and barely sell,

and 2D games just don't sell. The current public looks at a 2D game and says "that'll suck".

Limits encourage creativity (Genesis/SNES + previous)

I use my handhelds + 2D consoles more than my 3D consoles for obvious reasons.

  • I agree. Too many developers try to imitate the real world in every which possible way and they kinda forgot that we don't really want that to it's full extent. Yes realism is cool but we don't want realism in every game that ever releases.

  • no its not the developers fault its OUR fault that games are realistic because majority of people want a game to look realistic and what do the developers want they want to sell their game so give whats in highest demand it'll only change when evryone gets sick of realism and when graphics keep getting better i dont think they will change anytime soon

  • Wait a second, you thought the Mummy was a good film?! It was ok, not great.

  • A cups rule

  • So your problem is that games "look real" but aren't real... even though your problem is reality, not things that look like reality? Are you seriously telling me you can't separate the two out unless the game looks like a fucking cartoon?

So what if the GAME that RESEMBLES reality (but isn't) still plays like a GAME? IT'S A FUCKING GAME! Get over it!

This is a NITPICK not an actual point. In fact, let's go ahead and change your name to the Nintendo Nitpicker. Honesty is a good thing. :D

  • I mean, blasting away endless alien hoardes can be rationalized but having to find the red key... THAT'S the hurdle? At what point does this even come up as the immersion-destroying moment? Is it before or after you destroy that giant brain in a glass jar?

Do you get confused by movies that star real actors (as opposed to CGI) when they're clearly not doing the things YOU would do in realistic situations or do you watch nothing but cartoons?

  • Ya know, you're right, Ouroboros. He is really *overthinking* this issue...

    -_-

  • Thanks for giving Ngia his props when it was due. And please continue to make these videos.

  • Agreed 100% Bob. I think that "ART" should be what game designers should shoot for. Take warcraft, world of warcraft. Unrealistic as hell, and yet people get captivated by the artwork.

I look at the artwork in old school games and think how clever it all is, and realize that many games today don't have that.

Sometimes though it really helps, like in Mass Effect having cinema style conversation animation, or fallout 3 to make you actually believe it's the real world, etc.

  • and with tacsinoco vs capcom (hope spellt right) is getting new charictors for the us version

  • It's tatsunoko.

    ^^

  • fps sure sucks man wll except from half-life series that is.

  • Please continue to post your vids on Youtube.

  • Can you still upload your videos here? SA's player is horrendous.

  • You're awesome, amazing outlook on the industry. I share your thoughts. Take a look into FPSs next, I'd love to see your opinion on them but judging by this video I think I might already know. Looking forward to seeing more by you soon!

  • i guess the thing about it is is that i don't love realism or like it at all i more love plausible fantasy. for example, could batman's cape actually let him glide? further study concludes no, but it you didn't know that it wouldn't seem that ridiculous. same thing with falling 100 meters and landing in water and living. realistic? hell no. but plausible in a meld of fantasy and reality? yes.

  • Reality sucks and the majority of games out there are geared towards realism. A shame that's the case but big corporations make lots of money through these types of games and we can't do jack about it.

  • i gotta tell you bob, you're probably the greatest game commentator to ever exist

  • xD Thanks Bob, as much as I love your videos and ScrewAttack, I hate having to go to ScrewAttack thinking "Cmon Bob, make a video dammit!"

As for this video, AMEN BROTHER MOVIEBOB!!! I don't like today's games as much as the ones of years past. As for the whole Tatsunoko vs Capcom announcement, I think I was the 2nd person to put that on your channel :D

  • Your bit from 2:30-3:00 made my day. Thank you.

  • so will you be releasing on both Screw Attack and Youtube now? Honestly I think that'd be for hte best since SA's video player has a tendency to have the video go twice as fast as the audio for some strange reason. And it only seems to happen with your vids. It's weird.

    Well, keep it up, Bob-o

    Always a pleasure.

  • bit of a nitpick here, but Dr. Light is American. Sure he was made in japan, but he's from america, in the game.

  • It sucks how people need to dull their argument by adding thinks like it being their personal preference. If you are one of the people who think that realism is one of the greatest things about games now a days then you are 95% likely to be one of the people who are late to the game and don't deserve an opinion till you turn off war sim number 38 and play some games that mean something. Saying that realism is ruining the gaming industry is true because it is based on logic and evidence.

  • Reality Bites was god awful. I saw it once last year randomly on TV and at the end I honestly didn't like any of the characters or dislike any of them for the right reasons. The two main characters were such wretched people they deserved to end up together. Ugh.

    Anyways, great video Bob.

  • nvm..it was on screwattack haha

  • Where have I seen this episode before??

I'm sure it was by him..just....like the same ep

    but earlier on

  • This is why I get annoyed when people complain about Borderland's change in art direction. It's stylish and brilliant but they complain because it doesn't look like Standard Space Shooter #3.

  • ya know what game doesn't have that high light thing u were talking about, half life 2

  • come to think of it i havent seen a door in crysis

  • Graphics are eye candy. It's sells much easier on the market than a 16bit game. Maybe one day players would be able to kick down doors but currently, if you look at programming, there's just way too many aspects of the real world to capture in a game. You can kick down a door, shoot it, blow it up, whatever. You'd have to program an entire universe to capture every real world because each video game is its own universe. In this case, each game has its own laws of physics where doors dont blow up

  • Reality "sucks" because is something that we see every day, and it gets boring, I guess.

Not that I hate reality, but for sure, I like videogames because it takes me to places that I can't see in the real world, it's just like the movies.

By the way, thanks for uploading this on Youtube, Bob. Still, I'm looking your new episodes at Screwattack.

  • clerks 2 was insightfull? Wow, are you stoned?

  • it was insightful if you were a lord of the rings fan

  • Clerks 2 has it's issues. The "dance" scene is foolish, and the attempt to "top" the corpse-humping from #1 is lame. But the genuine understanding of what actually informs a psyche like Randall's coupled with what strikes me as tremendous honesty on Smith's part about himself and his work (i.e. Dante's grow-up-but-as-what dilema) FLOORED me. The go-kart scene and everything post-jail are as true of their maker and generation as Annie Hall was of it's. The final shot DESTROYS me to this day.

  • Wow that was a truly great vid

  • man, i love them videos, good stuff

  • i thing i jizzed in my pants when he siad tinok vs capcom was coimng out :D lol

  • Life doesn't have fetch quests? Have you ever been shopping?<
