  • Nice knife but the price is way to rich for my blood.

  • for 1500 I can buy 20 extremely good knives

  • $1500 Eat a Dick .. Gimme a Ka-Bar any day !

  • BIKER BATTLES LMAO

  • WHAT A CLOWN LMAO!!!!!!!!!!! Everytime I need a laugh I watch this video

  • that is a realy good looking knife and i think it would work great for any situation. and i love the elk handle with the insignia. litle bit out of my price range but i think anyone who buys one will be satisfyed with it.

  • Good looking blade, and A2 is good steel. Isn't 58Rc a little hard for such a large blade? what thickness of steel did you use in it? Is it forged or stock removal? What steel combinations do you use in your damascus?

  • Your armed to the teeth!

  • a question:

Did you say "shock" loaded, or "Shot" loaded?...

    and what does that mean?

  • @AlanMolstad He said shot loaded. John puts lead or steel shot, or little metal balls (basically what you find inside a shotgun shell) inside the handle. What that does is add weight to the handle, so when he flicks his wrist during a back cut (when you cut with the back edge of the knife) the knife blade has more momentum than it normally would. More momentum equals more force equals more devastating cut. Like John said, that bowie is designed for (use against) people.

  • I am not sure 1500 dollars for a custom with D2 steel is worth it, hell a busse uses a superior steel and it is cheaper.

  • God I want that knife but price is alittle steep unfortinatly :s

  • very awesome blade man =]

  • hey bro how much for a very basic bowie knife

  • bad ass!!!

  • That blade is EPIC. Nicely Done.

  • TLC/Discovery Channel IS doing pilot shows for custom knifemakers/knifemaking......it's a competitive, vastly growing "industry". Nice knives, Fitzen!! Not my preferred style but awesome none-the-less!!

  • absolutley beautifull bowie lil outta my price range but your right in asking so much a custom blade is more then something u buy at your local wal-mart or local knife shop the knife is a reflection of the knife maker and each one you make is unique they are works of art that you'll be able to hand down to your kids and they'll hand em down to there kids

  • Don't get me wrong, I love the knife. But I generally make it a point to not take anyone who is wearing skull jewelry seriously. I know you think you're a badass, but maybe consider melting all that down and making it into something at least semi-useful.

  • @WillStone072 Dont judge a book by its cover asshole. Fitzen knives are the best I've ever owened.

  • Try to make a knive thats HALF the quality of this one and THAN start posting comments. (sry for bad english. I'm from Austria)

  • Does it have a full tang? If yes, good job. If no, quit knife making now.

  • @darkslayer1549 If you are an experienced knifemaker you know how to make half & 1/4 tang knives that will survive normal to heavy use. I've been making them for nearly 30 years. Fitzens knives are known for being as tuff as nails. The JUNK mass production hollow handles are definitely a waste of money! Customs by good makers are the best bet. If full tang knives make you feel more secure there's nothing wrong with that....

  • 1000$ says rick dosent like blackz

  • $1500 fuck off lol you clown

  • @666mrnightshade once again another guy who post a unintelligent comment. You have no idea what it takes to make a fine blade You do not show your pic on your sight , do not have a name, your probably one of those pimpled face dumbass who lives in the basement of their mamas house. You think your so tough to post that comment . fuck off!!!

  • @FitzenKnives firstly it looks like crap anybody can make crap or buy one in the shops.you think you are a tough guy with your little rings and chains.to think some poor guy would pay that for a knife is just sad.id eat you alive old man id pay $50 dollars for that knife at most ,and stop stealing things of the street [shop rails] and what is a biker battle you fag lol

  • @666mrnightshade Serious knife collectors do pay those prices. Whether they use them or not is another story. There's quite a bit of difference between a knife made by an experienced knifemaker and those that are mass produced by sweatshops in CHINA. On the flip-side of those high prices there are makers who make awesome knives that don't charge anywhere near that like Maniord knives, Red Scorpion and many others. Not everyone's broke "MADE IN USA" is worth something these days.

  • @666mrnightshade You suck. Get off the internet.

  • @FitzenKnives I agree 1500 is a little much but If cold steel can charge 600plus for their crap you can charge that without sweating it.

  • @FitzenKnives Well maybe mrnightshade said it a bit rude but no way i gonna pay 1500 bucks to a knife like that and yes i know what it takes to get a good knife done but 1 you dont have a known name i never heard of you so what makes you thinking im pay that price??

  • @FitzenKnives What a clown! That guy has no clue what goes into fine weaponry. I ever get into a life or death situation I want an American made knife that was crafted by someone who knows how a blade is handled. Great work! When I finish grad school and get a decent job I will have to look you up for a custom Bowie! My motto for a weopon is buy it once, have it made right, and it will never let you down.

  • @FitzenKnives Couldn't have said it better~! well done mate. Awesome knife-love your work..All the best from western australia

  • @FitzenKnives he's got a point Fitz, this knife is a handmade knife for collections, not for use, this knife got no use other than killing someone, and in my own opinion i would never kill someone with a 1500$ dollar knife, damn i would never take the knife out of the collection.

So...to sum it up, Fitz you are a great knife maker but this knife are pointless for the price.

  • @sw3q yes, use a sharpened tooth brush for killing and save yourself all that money lol

  • @666mrnightshade Actually, 1500 is quite reasonable for a custom bowie - check out bladeforum (dot) com, I'm a member there and seen several customs go for upwards 3,500.00 - 5,000.00. You're obviously not a serious collector, you better stick with the budget knives and walmart specials.

  • @666mrnightshade Dude, I've done plenty of searching. For the quality and price, fitzen is the best. Hell, elk horn alone is about $70, plus cryoed A2 blade is anywhere from $180 to $300. Add in the shot and the gaurd, a production version of this would probably be about $750. But being custom instantly (and understandabley) shoots the price up.

  • @666mrnightshade you actually don´t know two things:

    1. It is a hell lot of work to make such a custom knife

    2. For that kind of knife 1500$ is quite a good price

So better research before you insult people that do great work and doing those things with their heart and soul!

  • @666mrnightshade hahahaha ikr u can get 1 for like 20 buks on amazon.com fuck 1500$

  • @Littleitboy It shows you don't know anything about knives :)

  • i lov that blade

  • clown

  • @LostDarknight Collectors buy "knifes" for $1500. "Killers" probably would go with something your mom use in the kitchen.

  • very nice bowie knife, i like the deer antler i assume or bone handle very excellent craftsmenship, and the price fits, the price for quality.

  • You kill people then?Made for people you sed.So a lot of killers buy knifes from you I quess

  • Jesus Christ, these guys are begging for a show on the History channel.

  • very impressed would like to meet the man !!!!!

  • Ive never heard of you but you have a new subscriber im very much into knives great video

  • That guard looks edgy

  • What is a good inexpensive Big Bowie knife ?

    For around $100 bucks ?

    DiRk

  • @dirksworldtube

Becker BK-9 if you don't mind skeleton tangs, the Case bowie is quite nice but a bit pricier i think, Condor makes a pretty damn big yet thin bowie, it's kinda weird, more like a machete, the old SOG knives are nice, but a bit small

  • @dirksworldtube If you want a bargain big heavy chopping Bowie you might check out the Schrade Extreme Survival Scor knife, it's too heavy for a fighting knife, but for a big Crocodile Dundee sized camp knife at (17-1/2) with a thick blade it's really something to hold.

    Mine only came to $69.99

  • $1500? For a self-defense knife? I can buy a .45 for that.

  • @MrTheCheatz but..........it's a bowie

  • His knives are tough but too heavy to carry.

  • Beautiful work. To be honest though, if I were to spend $1,500 on a blade, I'd be contacting Jake Powning.

Google him. Amazing man, I've met him in person and held the Du Sith.

  • I got one almost exactly like that, Just different handle (still custom handle, cherry wood handle) for 20 bucks. Blade is exactly the same.

  • @GoobsMineCraft doubtful unless of course you have vids to prove it.

  • @ketegesvaterdegoge Nope. Black Friday at Academy :P Winchester Bowie.

  • This guy don't fuck around..

  • dear santa

  • piece of art

  • Wow - amazing blade! Great work!

  • That thing is freaking awesome... bottom line.

  • I know people exaggerate a lot when they want something, but if I don't own this knife, I'm going to die.

  • JOHN!!! Love your videos.Saw the 1st one yesterday and stayed up till 3:30am watching as many as I could.Nice Kilt,I am Scottish. Keep up the good work!

  • nice knife

  • the theme is a remix of the good the bad and the ugly theme

  • gotta love them proud rednecks

  • what a beauty

  • i dont like the handle

  • RIGHT ON !!!

  • Very, VERY nice, beautiful knife. I love the design. I would personally prefer D2 over A2, but that's just me. Fantastic work, sir.

  • Overcompensating maybe???????

  • Wow so much humility. Loveless would be amused. Overcompensation ????

  • Get a strider or Hammond

  • Your knives are brittle overkill crap!!!!!!!!!

  • Whow. Thats a great knife. I want it so badly. That is the one. Greatings from Norway. 10 out of 10 man. Oha.

  • Oh yeah he was so rich he had a Damascus, Bowie, and Hunting knives, in other showcase room was broadsword, bows, and old guns

  • It sure was deadly when I was 5 I loved to listen to his war stories my favorite was when he explained how he skewered someone with little effort blade had a jade or ivory hilt with a nice hand guard was a Bowie blade was extremely sharp and light well when I wad 6 it was light well blade was either ruby or at the time he either said ruby or steel but in the case it had a red light shining on it

  • I'm 16 and that knife reminded me of my uncle's he said he was going to give it to me when he retired, he was KIA and his knife was stolen boy it was a mice knife don't remember what it was made of.

  • Hey John, just thought I'd drop you a tip; serations can bee great on a fighting knife. They make the wound harding to steucher and can also help catch the enemy's knife (as long as they are the right kind of serration, of coarse)

  • i love it

  • And ofcourse the guy is a redneck.

  • mini kukri ??? would u show me how u forge one?

  • Nice bowie!!! I want to see "This is for people" made by Fitzen knifes t -shirts..lol

  • That knife is very nice, is it any good for throwing?

  • @KennKennith No those arent made for throwing, strictly a fighting knife.

  • @KennKennith I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure most Bowie knifes are too heavy to be used as a throwing weapons accurately. They are also not shaped the right way.

  • @knarkbruker Some can be balanced for throwing. They do throw more like an axe then a knife, though.

  • That is an awesome blade and i seriously do have great respect for what you do and would be honored if you made me a custom Bowie knife one day, i admire you man.

  • But.. do you live in a Difficult WORLD... ??

  • nice

  • Truly amazing...

  • YOU LIVE IN SALT LAKE CITY RIGHT ?

I USED TO LIVE THERE & SAW U AT THE COFFEE SHOP NEAR LIBERTY PARK.

    WHAT IS A GOOD HAUNTING?SURVIVAL KNIFE UNDER $200 ???

    Dirk

  • now what do you put at the butt of the knife to make it heavier?

  • very nice knife my friend, I just bought a schrade bowie from big 5 sports shop for 25 dollars on sale(50% off)

  • cs natchez is better.

  • how much would it cost to make a knife and send it to me ?

  • god that makes mine looks like a pocket knife

  • Look at the overall design, I see one flaw - correct me if I am wrong though.

The handguard, or whatever it is called, seem to be overlapping a tiny bit with the edge, would anyone even be able to sharpen that area?

  • @MadmanDKDK how would you dull that area?

  • is it 9 or 12 inches in blade length

  • you looked at Bagwell's Bowies much??

  • @pootsythesamurai You bet, theres a pretty strong 'influence'. In fact he cleaned one up for a guy recently. I know you off BB -you got an awesome collection Pootsy! I went out to train with Jim a few months back, you woulda liked it -some nice stories about Bill and had a play with a couple of Bagwells (first I'd handled) and a knife by the only student he's had (forget the name now...) that was quite something, Bill certainly taught this guy properly... thats all I'll say on that.

  • how do u get a job like this!?!?!

  • hes armed to the fuckin teeth! 2 bowies and a single action!

  • That's a big friggin knife!

  • also will the grip take the shock of impact?

  • nice bling

  • hey john im looking for a hunting knife about 8 .5 inches long with a clip point blade with a oak handle can you give me an estement of how much it would cost thanks

  • Imagine what would happen if someone gets good news with it.
