There is a reason Phil and Bobby say they never again caught the fire after '93. This is sad. This was the start of the morbid end of days. How can any fan say this is "on fire" or this is "smoking"!! Jerry is obviously weak and is barely getting through. If you research this era and read the pitiful stories of Jerry's state, you would know that musically, this is not up to Dead standards. I will never forget being at shows in '94 and '95 and saying to myself" its over".
Man this was the first show I drove to and my first Dead show...For years I've listened to the awesome soundboards wishing I could watch it again but heard of its existence and it never seemed to pan out. Now here it is almost 18 years later and a SUPER CRISP second set pops up on You Tube!!!! This to me has the equivalent of finding The Holy Grail so now if this was all we ever get we should be satisfied that the Good Lord has bestowed this blessing on us. But can you come up with Set 1 PLEASE?
This was one of my last Dead shows....thank God they played Scarlet / Fire. Was starting to get tickets for the 1995 Fall Tour in Boston when Jerry died. Seen different variations of the Dead since then including Furthur here in 2011. Boston had a great sunset on August 1 this year...Jerry's birthday. Enjoy the set.
There's nothing like that whistle of Jerry's MIDI going into Fire. I personally like the 10-14-94 Scarlet-Fire better which is absolutely flawless but this one is a close second. Thanks for posting.
@acousticjammin1 True, I'll give you that. To me, the 10-14-94 Scarlet>Fire is perfectly played from start to finish. I'm more biased since I was at the show. Jerry's voice seems a little stronger from the MSG show too but I do love the middle eastern midi jam transition into Fire from the 10-1 show though.
This one is from a really special night, from a special run and the last fall tour the GD did. Plenty of awesome Jerry moments during this set.Enjoy being spellbound and smile at how Jerry, always the one holding up the mirror, cast a night of passion and beauty. This night will always hold a special place in my heart.
< 1, if I had only known. Thank you, for circulating Jerry yuzhou inside Set 2!

@prewittj1 He vocally flaws the whole last verse of Fire on 10-14-94 not that its not an awesome version but I'm just partial to 10-1
