  • @Ghostrider03Z there will be, and some come with a dock

  • Could you make a video of scrolling fluidity and multitouch in desktop mode? Highlighting ie 10 also folders and system tools? Very much appreciated.

  • My understanding is, and please someone correct me if I'm wrong, is that Tegra 3 (Found in the Asus Transformer Prime) will be supported by Win8?

  • @mrscythean305 Yes it will be.

  • Ics will kick all other mobile operating systems in the ovaries

  • @magichacker929 It's pretty good. We'll see.

  • its already been months and the windows 8 is still not ticking or making any noise... you just cant simply combine pc experience and mobile without making consumer bewildered what to do with the newest hightect os.. windows must be built from ground and up.

  • Finally, this is the best

  • Is it that hard to understand that you can opt not to use the Metro UI and just use the traditional one?

  • @shafuu People love to complain.

  • idk if i want to wait for this bad boy or wait for the new andriod tablets coming out soon such as the asus transformer 2

  • It doesn't matter how good this thing would become.... People would buy an oversized iPod Touch just because it is made by Apple. Which is why i hate Apple, nothing but hype

  • Why on a laptop or a normal PC, can't put two apps in split screen like you did?

  • Am I the only one who thinks that iOS got some trouble now? ;]

  • my people direct your anger against apple my children and leave android alone

  • how to change Metro UI Background with your own wallpaper

    watch?v=Uh_tZEkIVS4

thumbs up. so, poeple can see this!!! :)

  • This should be released this year not next year or at least before the iPad

  • i can switch app to app with 1 click with a windows vista.

  • @skatbloodlord wah!

  • that game had no graphics at all.

  • it looks great! just what i needed actually

  • is this for kids or what ?

  • Metro UI isn't a fail? You don't HAVE to use it, you can use the normal start screen (saw on another video) on Windows 8 tablets. Personally, I love Metro UI, very smart and sufficient.

  • Can I play my CRYISIS game on this...!!!!!!! lol

  • @chidduchidvilas i bet u could

  • @ThatGuyWill1993 It need heavy porting from x86 to arm... so may be NO

  • @chidduchidvilas depends on the architecture and hardware.

  • I hate this new os. It's designed for computer illiterate children and senior citizens who like colorful pictures and no control over their computer. Long live the start button! I am seriously considering fully switching to Ubuntu

  • @gatewaysolo104 Fully agree with you on that. Every body now wants those ugly idiotic "proffessional, productive, boring" OS's with 0 customization and all "productivity-oriented". I'm gonna stick to my *NIX's (OSX 10.6.8 and Gentoo Linux) for as long as I can because I Like them and they serve me very well and I can customize the heck out of both of them. Besides, my *NIX's KICK LOSEDOZE'S ASS.

  • @gatewaysolo104 go back to 95 then

  • @kodykap02 he is developer that is why..

  • how did you get windows 8 on a tablet tell me

  • Apple is dead

  • @Nanotijerina Lol, I forgot mt $3000 rig makes me poor.... Maybe I like Windows more because 1) It's more stable. Macs crash the second you insert a blank CD. Out of 8 years of using a Windows, not a single crash for me :). 2) Windows doesn't overprice their products and only give you 1/4 the performance. 3) I can play Crysis on Ultra. Apple fanboy. You only like them cause it the "cool" thing to like, hipster. Get educated.

  • i'm downloading right now, but can you play games on windows 8?

  • I really like this.. might replace my iPad!

This means I am slowly getting transfered from Apple to Microsoft... I changed my iPhone for Windows Phone, my iPad is about to be replaced to Windows 8 Tablets... I still have my ipod though!

  • thanks for this nice over view

  • NOW THATS THAT I CALL INNOVATION. Instead of the cheap looking "apple looking" interface from Androids.

  • In tablet ,ppl tend to compare how smooth the scrolling is , I DONT KNOW WHY it is so darn important !

Now i'm addicted to "smooth scrolling" , apple and microsoft seem to be able to do that but the stupid Android just cant solve it ! it's like they have this defect build in and becos of tis it's embarassing to hold android tablet infront of apple fanboy .

I guess google has like 10 bedroom programmers for its Android development team. ooh dont get me started with how they name their os .

  • @gmtt I agree 100% I hate Android for the face that it doesn't have Smooth scrolling.

  • @MrFpsBaby idk what phone youve used it is a bit slower on loading things at time not apps but menus but their improving icecream sandwich is supposed to be really refined....but i have a droid x the first one and it doesnt lag..

  • @MrFpsBaby android open source suck on that windows

  • @roblocksrocks If it is open sourced more bad products will come with the OS and make it look bad, just sayin and I'm no fanboy of any OS I just don't like android.

  • @roblocksrocks Please! Android has no hope of competing against Windows. Chrome OS is a joke compared to Windows.

  • @HTHAMMACK1

Android HAS hope, because it's made by Google. They can release a totally new os within a year or even less. But I prefer Windows8 over any current released Android.

  • @HTHAMMACK1 I think windows 8 will be used as a leading tablet OS. Android as the leading smartphone os. Windows 7 or 8 for desktop.

  • @HTHAMMACK1 Windows has no chance of competing with any company :)) that is a silly joke, Moo for me, because that's where your brain is. In mobile marketshare of all mobile devices on earth 67% are already google, and only 16% apple :) and just 1.5% microshit :) so yeah no chance :P

  • @gmtt ummm... galaxy sII bro, super smooth...

  • I was set on buying the Blackberry Playbook after OS 2.0 comes out. However I think I'm going to buy a Windows 8 tablet now. All I can say is WOW!!!

  • WHEN DOES THIS COME OUT?

  • I don't care what all the other XP users and Mac fanboys say. I love this user interface and Windows 8 as a whole. Besides that trend with Windows OS's being a fail every 2nd release, i recon Windows 8 is about to break that tradition. It's a slick, clean interface that makes everything look nicer and easier to look at, while keeping all the desktop features we love about Windows plus it's also designed to be a touch friendly interface, so this will work great on tablets.

  • @shockwave2291 You love that POS UI because it's dull and "professional", and "productive"?

I guess everybody loves boring and ugly UI's, which explains why people wanted the Win3x UI instead of the Win2000 one, the DOS UI instead of the Win95 one and the Win2000 UI instead of the Win7 one.

  • @Ptero4 lol that's your opinion... But for me and many others we see this as a big step forward to a re-imagined windows. Although you do have a odd definition for a POS UI because everyone is now striving for a similar look.

Look at android OS (and all the new interfaces in Google services) it may not be the same but its very apparent that they also want to achieve a simplified and clean look. Stop looking backwards and start looking forwards.

  • @shockwave2291 This is not a desktop OS. It sucks on PC. Trust me I tried it.

  • @shockwave2291 and phones :)

  • it looks pretty slick to me.

  • That's something I was waiting for.. Cool.. should be compatible with legacy enviornments and also with 3rd party apps.. Good JOB!!!

  • I d'n know.. Tiles? Again? Microsoft just doesn't get it - people don't like them all that much. Their phones don't sell very well, Samsung just announced to stop making any Windows phone altogether, and yet MS still insists on using their junk. This tablet doesn't look all that attractive and MS is a little late in the game too. All I can say - good luck, Microsoft, staying on the same course you've been heading for the last several years... DOWN!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @naineet4ever Have you not heard of "widgets"? They do exactly what you're talking about - showing you information you're most interested in, but other than that, there is no need for tiles. Besides, the whole windows thingy starting to look way too redundant, makes me feel Windows 98'ish... yak! I can't be happier to say good by to Microsoft, it was good knowing them.

  • @etraderx11 Being late in the game means you can learn from others mistakes. Playstation 3 for example was a year later than the 360 and the hardware is much better.

Tiles work, and I do like them for portable apps. Saying that they are going down is just down out ridiculous, if you look at consoles it shows the complete opposite, with them losing out to sales in the wii back in 2009. To take the title again in the following year, with Xbox (277k sold), Wii (190k sold) and ps3 (114k sold).

  • wow, looks like microsoft is doing things right.

  • cool!!!
