Hennessey makes kits from 600 up to 1900 hp. The name means nothing. To get that power you'd need TT's and by that sound its supercharged and not 1100 hp.

cuz first off, a regular viper isnt that loud, second of all, when the dodge viper symbol lights up when he is braking that means it has the hennessesy package which has two turbos in it and other shit, such as a body kit which is noticable on the car. hahah nebraska...i just saw that viper 2 days ago at the edgwater car show. the sticker on the back says something like 210 mph and still one gear to go. by far the fastest car ive ever seen on the street.
A viper has no governor. When i bought mine i took it to the track and it topped out at 186mph. When i installed the twinturbo kit it bumped the power up to 953hp at the dyno. I took it back and got it upto 239mph, i had to let off because the car was becoming too unstable. Now to my point, if it was governed at 190 it would have cut the fuel off which it didnt.
Um the new 2008 vipers do over 205MPH, the verts do 197 with the top down. Vipers reach speeds well over 200mph without being restricted, hell in 2001 SVS ran 247MPH with a stock body Dodge Viper GTS.

Uh those cars just have more HP then the viper does, a stock viper does over 190MPH, a stock 08 viper does over 205MPH with 600HP. A stock body GTS ran 247MPH over 6 years ago at bonneville with a 5MPH head wind. Hennessey 1000 venoms have a top speed of 255MPH (EST), enzo 218MPH(est), murc 205.

In stop/start traffic it would be hard to drive that car... Most modded cars have racing clutches that have no play in them. It's either engaged or not... The only standing start they are designed for is off the start finish line and out of the pits. You'd have trouble drivin it too.
That viper does sound like shit on the video, but the 2006 Venom 1000 Twin-Turbo (1000hp) has a top speed of 255mph for those of you who thought that the Porsche or Bugatti can beat this car in top speed. I don't think this is a 2006 Venom (only 24 produced), but the 06 is the fastest production car in the world. Plus, no one would play around with a $225,000 car in the streets like that.

As long the 3 top twin turbo designers for vipers compete to create the fastest STREET legal street drivable viper, they will only get faster. SVS has 2000 CRANK hp viper that runs 8.55 without traction, once they work and upgrade the suspension system and are able to put more power to the ground they will undoubtablly be in the 7secs mabye even the 6. Dont forget they build street legal street drivable full weight cars.

The enzo beat the 510HP 06 viper in a circuit and drag theres no question, the enzo is a 2900lb 660HP car compared to the vipers 510hp 3400lbs. The ACR or mopar concept would give the enzo a run for its money 675hp/650torq 3000lbs but the enzo is still a million dollars compared to the ACRs 100k price tag.

The viper handles on par with the worlds best, times on the nurburgring, sebring, willowsprings, VIR, Laguna Seca all have the viper and the z06 right up there with europes super cars. Hell the viper dominated Le mans for the 5 years they raced in the series winning title after title.
Ive driven them on willow springs, PIR and speedworld. And I can tell you know the car handles great it just lacks any electronic nanny controls like ferraris do so when you mess up its unforgiving. Other then that the viper has a rigid chassis, great suspension, and the best braking system out of any sports car in the world.

Wait until the Americans get done testing our SSC Ultimate Aero TT (1183 hp); it recently hit 230 mph with ease, and that was only at 56% throttle in 6th gear. This is going to put Veyrons top speed record to shame. They had to stop because of bad weather. Wait and see. ;)

New Viper? As in a 2008? There are precious few production cars that are as fast, not faster, than a Veyron...right now 3 come to mind: Koenigsegg CCX, Chrylser ME Four Twelve and..well thats 2 but some versions of the McLaren F1 went 240 and the Koenigsegg CCR goes 242...

The bugatti veyron is a 1.9 million dollar car the viper is a 100k car. Id expect the bugatti to be faster in some way. If your just talking about top speed SVS has a tested viper that does 250MPH top speed.

And if the viper sucks so much why is it when the first GTS-R was released on the Le Mans circuit it dominated everything on the field? After two years on top Le mans banned the viper from racing because the euro cars couldnt compete. On top of that they restricted the vipers HP/torque and made it add weight to its stock weight so that european super cars could compete. Even after all that in 2002 when they came back, they took Le Mans AGAIN with the restrictions.

Yeah, really. The Viper is one of the most impressive cars ever created, but so many people dislike it. It completely dominated Le Mans several times, but people still say it sucks. Maybe they're just having trouble accepting the fact that Vipers are better than their favorite cars. Oh well, it doesn't bother me. At least I can still enjoy this car.

I agree with you man. The braking on a Viper is simply amazing. The handling is also something that is difficult for other cars to measure up to. And just think when the more powerful vipers hit the road in 2007. That's going to be some extreme stuff for sure.

In stop/start traffic it would be hard to drive that car... Most modded cars have racing clutches that have no play in them. It's either engaged or not... The only standing start they are designed for is off the start finish line and out of the pits. You'd have trouble drivin it too.

That viper does sound like shit on the video, but the 2006 Venom 1000 Twin-Turbo (1000hp) has a top speed of 255mph for those of you who thought that the Porsche or Bugatti can beat this car in top speed. I don't think this is a 2006 Venom (only 24 produced), but the 06 is the fastest production car in the world. Plus, no one would play around with a $225,000 car in the streets like that.

Just so you know the GT is a super charged car with 550 hp, a viper has the potential to have 650 RW HP naturally aspirated. Put a supercharger on the viper and the gt will cry.

Second any idiot can make a GUTTED out dragster. If I wanted that I would get a cobalt gut it out and have it run 6secs. The point to the vipers are they are full weight street legal cars.

The fastest full weight supra which is faster then the fastest full weight skyline is owned by Ryan Woon the fastest he has ever did a 1/4mile is 8.62secs. The viper 7.98secs do the math

Every year twin turbo vipers are getting faster and faster. As long the 3 top twin turbo designers for vipers compete to create the fastest STREET legal street drivable viper, they will only get faster. SVS has 2000 CRANK hp viper that runs 8.55 without traction, once they work and upgrade the suspension system and are able to put more power to the ground they will undoubtablly be in the 7secs mabye even the 6. Dont forget they build street legal street drivable full weight cars.

ok BULL Sh*t my friend drives a full weight supra that runs low 8's and hes only running 880rwhp and a supra can do a HELL of a lot more hp than that ryan woon might THINK he owns the fastest but he doesnt guarenteed and besides the price of a viper doesnt even compair a stock viper is round what 80k? give me 80k and ill build a supra that will smoke it in a quarter mile (hell i can even build a GSX eclipse that will beast it even worse than a supra for 80k)

And no matter what you say your friends car isnt reliable to drive on the road. Ryan Woons supra cost 300 thousand to make and build to be anywhere near reliable. And that doesnt change the fact that the worlds fastest full weight six speed is a viper does it.

Not only does the viper sound great it is not limited to the 210 mph u mentioned. 210mph is in fact a mile run from a standing start which it completes in 26 sec. the real top speed to this car is 250+ its never been tested but the trans has been geared that way from stock.

in a straight line a stock viper would be a tenth of a second faster than a ferrari but once you take it to the circuit the viper may as well give up, a ferrari will eat it up in the corners.

The enzo beat the 510HP 06 viper in a circuit and drag theres no question, the enzo is a 2900lb 660HP car compared to the vipers 510hp 3400lbs. The ACR or mopar concept would give the enzo a run for its money 675hp/650torq 3000lbs but the enzo is still a million dollars compared to the ACRs 100k price tag.

The viper handles on par with the worlds best, times on the nurburgring, sebring, willowsprings, VIR, Laguna Seca all have the viper and the z06 right up there with europes super cars. Hell the viper dominated Le mans for the 5 years they raced in the series winning title after title.

Ive driven them on willow springs, PIR and speedworld. And I can tell you know the car handles great it just lacks any electronic nanny controls like ferraris do so when you mess up its unforgiving. Other then that the viper has a rigid chassis, great suspension, and the best braking system out of any sports car in the world.
