Its hard to describe to somebody how alone you feel when nobody gets why you cant just "get over it" "move on" I still feel like it happened yesterday, slowly but surely I am putting my life back together. This movie is what sparked my own self-discovery. It broke down the walls that I built up.

But after seeing the horrible incident, I was stopped dead for a few seconds because of shock. I didn't cry for that scene and the rest of the movie but felt utterly helpless and empty just like the girl did. I was literally shaking when trying to finish the rest of the movie.
she was saying NO and he covered her mouth, so the muffled screams are the sounds. he planned it out, drew her to his car, pinned her down and when she couldnt move or get help, he undid his pants, got under her skirt. he was too heavy to fight off. i dont know how a rape scene can be criticized. so sad

I think Melinda made noises because it physically hurt her to be raped: You can't help but make animal noises when someone is hurting you like that. I think she screamed, afterwards, in shock.

Yes. I'm glad that someone, perhaps the director, understood the helplessness, where you can't stop yourself from making noises, even though you're embarrassed and wish you could. don't talk trash about an actress un less you can do better. they do what they are told to do by the directors and other people making the movie. every expression, body movement, or even sound is either in the script or they are told to do it. thats how acting works.

If you're one of those, read the partial draft of Midnight Sun on Stephanie Meyer, the author of twilight's website. It is twilight in edward cullen's point of view, and the movie is pretty exact to it.
People (aka those above 12) hate the Twilight because it's a bad movie. I actually liked the books alot.... the movie was just... plain a horrible movie. If there was no book people would hate it.
That said, Kristen Stewart is a brilliant actress. Don't believe me check out her other work like Into the Wild and especially Adventureland. THIS is an actress.

also, if twilight sucked so bad, millions of viewers would not be in love with the story, or the movie. and a movie does not win awards for a book. i can guarantee that most people didnt even hear of the book before the movie.
don't talk trash about an actress un less you can do better. they do what they are told to do by the directors and other people making the movie. every expression, body movement, or even sound is either in the script or they are told to do it. thats how acting works.

Millions of preteen girls like a horrible movie because 1) marketing 2) a hot lead actor. It happened with the backstreet boys... is still happening with the jonas brothers. It'll happen again.

many of you don't know what you are talking about. I think Kristen Stewart is a great actress. If she weren't she wouldn't be famous.
And with Twilight, that is a different story. People hate it because it isn't exactly like the book. If you're one of those, read the partial draft of Midnight Sun on Stephanie Meyer, the author of twilight's website. It is twilight in edward cullen's point of view, and the movie is pretty exact to it.

People (aka those above 12) hate the Twilight because it's a bad movie. I actually liked the books alot.... the movie was just... plain a horrible movie. If there was no book people would hate it.
That said, Kristen Stewart is a brilliant actress. Don't believe me check out her other work like Into the Wild and especially Adventureland. THIS is an actress.

i heard that they couldnt really express their eyes and the stuff the way they wanted too...that could be something...but i also think its that they didnt know what they were getting into so they went by the script not the book and all the emotions it talks about in it that would have made it a better movie...

Hey what's up with you people giving cherrybomb thumbs downs about their opinion? They're kind of right. They DID act terrible towards Melinda, nobody bothered to even ask what had happened to her that she called the police. And cherrybomb is right, nobody ever knows the full story and what immature high schoolers REALLY care if a party got broken up and carry a grudge for THAT LONG? Kind of pathetic.
