@chonchon911 I'm not Blame Truth but I suggest that you buy the first 3 Gears games to play before hand as they are relatively cheap now and important to the overall storyline. As for the multiplayer, I would by it because, as BT stated, it plays so smooth and it's just unadulterated fun and good competition is to be had.

CoD needs to die, just like the entirety of it's fan base. Everyone, even former CoD fans with functioning brain cells, know that every game in the series just gets worse than the previous one, as has been the case since CoD4.

Those same people also know that MW3 is going to be just another clunky, overly hyped, overrated, $60+ aggravation-fest, and everyone who buys it will just start hating and complaining about it after just one month, just like what happened with MW2 and BO.

@mopUSTANKmofo Because Gears 2 did not run Dedicated Servers, and had horrendous lag for the longest time. The lag problem was eventually fixed apparently a year or so later, according to a friend of mine (who's a huge Gears fan).

The fact that Gears 3 is running Dedicated Servers automatically means that Epic is doing more for their fans than Infinity Ward and Treyarch will ever do for theirs. Modern Warfare 3, which is coming out this year, is STILL not running those.
