@blazeitup1 The twin loop is just like having two mufflers so it's twice as quiet. The other thing is since the muffler's chamber is big enough to allow the gasses to go through it twice it quiets it down even further since the noise created by the airflow has so much room to bounce around. The best thing about this particular one is that is quiet, sounds great, and compared to straight pipe you only lose maybe 1 or 2 HP tops. Stock quiet without any real power loss.
@fbmbmx904 Most twin loops are specifically designed for N/A, as where the N1/ straight through design is more for turbos. Turbos don't hinge on backpressure and are naturally a bit quieter becuase the exhaust turbine acts as a baffle, I would just look for a quieter straight through. You COULD run this with a mild turbo build, say 7-10 PSI, but if you run a twin loop on a high PSI build you can end up actually taking away a lot of power by choking the turbo which also can damage the motor.
I agree...did you just replace the muffler on your skunk 2 70mm, or did you get hytech to do 70mm piping? Just wondering, I'm wanting to run the skunk2 header on my 8th gen, just don't like how loud it is with the 70mm exhaust. How much quieter is it with the twin loop? I like the sound of the skunk 2 header tho it sounds deeper, meaner, me like very much! Sweet ass set up you got there.
adding the res. must have cut some power..John at hytech didnt tell u nothing about going 70mm,i talked to him about 70mm exhaust and he said it was to big and it would losee mid range but it had alot more top end but hmm he recommened 2.5 exhaust
Hands down best sounding 8thgen I've ever heard. I'm assuming you went with the option of having Hytech incorporate their cat converter into the system since it's so quiet.
wow!!! that sounds even better then my borla!! where did u get it and how much? DAMN lol

i understand the twin loop, but i dont understand the deal with the two exhaust tips... ?_?
marlo916 2 years ago
@marlo916
one is the 2.5in piping that runs in the muffler. the other is the outside polished tip.
zeuceone 1 year ago
@marlo916 my nopi exhaust has that and i dont like it much either but it was free so idgaf.

You need to post up more videos! This is too sweet to keep to yourself!
Seriously I've yet to hear or see a better exhaust than this. Hytech really knows what they're doing.

How come your hytech sounds so different compare to other hytech twin loops on here. What piping are you running and what headers?

70mm piping with skunk2 header.
