  • Where do you guys get "follow me" eyes?? REPLY ASAP.

  • @destiniefg you can make them yourself

  • Hello, I'm applying fur to my fursuit head on the BACK of the head and I keep getting these little lumps onto where it curves behind the ears. Can someone help me out please?

  • May I ask why are you turning the piece around one way and other when you trace it on the fur? Just curious as I'm going to fur mine too soon and want to know why is this needed :)

  • @FlackoWeasel usally beacuse when you cut it from the back, its a cleaner cut, so you need to trace it on the back :)

  • what were you using to cut out the patterns?

  • how did u get those beautiful antlers?

  • lol i need to get a nice table like you do lol

  • thats a really beautiful mask :) great job ^__^

  • Would you recommend sewing all the seems together on shorter fur/fabric?

  • @LouDeppDepp The length doesn't really matter actually.

  • u also gotta make sure the fur it pointing toward the back

  • hay so ive made a fur suit before i made a wolf and im into hunting. my wolf is cartooinsh and im wanting to make a deer. but remodeling my room it would be cool to make a deer head that was realistic but the same process as this. whatd you use to make the horns and eyes?

  • wait wait wait. . .so do you glue the fur on or sew it?

  • thats why fursuits are so expensive XD lot of time :D

  • confused, what goes inside the head so it keeps it shape?

  • @MsSkinwalker3 its just shaped chunks of foam on metal, plastic, or even more foam base.

  • what are you using to trace it and how would you do that if u have white fur?

  • no offense but duct tape I can't stand it's stench is there anther way on furing the head

  • @llclark2005 masking tape

  • Oh and where can you get the fur to cover it with

  • How much would a fursuit head cost if you made it with cheaper material bc ive never done one before an was hopin for some pointers

  • LOL!!! the first time i saw the glue gun it looked like a staple gun, and i was all like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hahahaha

  • wow very realistic im not being sarcastic beleive me

  • at first when you put the shapes out i thought it was batman lol im very dumb at times so if you say im dumb i now lol

  • ammzing

  • What are you using to rub the fur? I can't seem to make out what it is..

  • how much for a fursuit

  • @07furry70 Professionally made, you're looking at $1000 easily. Try and find some to do one for you cheaper, or make one yourself. I'll be trying my paw at my own later this year. :3

  • thank you so much for this! i like the idea of a deer...or elk...which is it?...:3 and Dirge of cerberus music? nice choice...

  • 100th Liker! 7 Dislikers :(

    Thanks for uploading!

  • what..music is this o_o Btw I love your work, I'm not a fursuiter or builder but I must say what you do is super amazing. You do such an awesome job it just blows me away.

  • I thought you had to leave a seam allowance for the fur pieces.

  • how do you make the eyes? do you see out of the eyes?

  • Thanks for uploading this video, it's very helpful, because I make fursuit heads, too. I got one question. How do you make a tiger's nose? I tried it many times, but no nose looked realistic enough for my sabertoothtiger-ynx-hybrid suit head..

  • now heres what i dont get and i need help.. once you put tape over the head and since it's made of foam wont it rip the foam off? HELP me with this someone :] :(

  • Gorgeous head, even when its not done. C:

    I must ask, if you don't mind;

what kind of foam do you use for your heads? It seems 'stronger' than regular upholstery foam, but its not that green stuff?

  • Okay..So you put ANY duct tape(I use gray kind) on the fursuit, cute it out, trace it on the fur, place on the fur, and tada?

  • omg i want you to make me one there so cool. or at least let me know how you start making the maskes. i is a coxs and this looks like so much fun

  • wher do get fur i cant find eny soft fur only corse...

  • how do you make the head structure? id love to konw

  • @majinthing

I remember watching oe of her vids about that once. She sculpts them in clay, makes a mold then casts them in something like expanda foam

  • i see thank you

  • where do you order your fur from?

  • Foam.

  • duct tape method is cool

  • how much would you say it cost to make a fursuit I just need an estamite.

  • Well, it depends where you shop and if you get the items you need on sale. The fur I got on sale, so it costed around $60. The canvas is about $1 per peice(big peices of canvas). The foam, my aunt supplyed me with because she hadit from work. But, the foam I don't think costs alot. so this fursuit(just the head), will cost around $65-$70, if you get some things on sale. If you don't get the things on sale, you looking around $100 or more dollars. Hope that helped!

  • What type of stitch do you use to sew the seams together?

  • A ladder stitch :) A curved needle helps as well.

  • Ty!

  • I always have a hard time hiding the stupid seams, where like I have to put on a new piece of fur but you can see where the first piece ended, is there a trick to cutting the fur so it looks like one piece still?

  • I have a tutorial uploaded on how to cut fur without cutting the fur pile itself. YouTube doesn't allow comment links but you can find it in my videos.

  • @Beetle91 if you want a link just put in the watch?v=(whatever here) and people should know just type in youtube and put that on the end.

  • @Beetle91 not direct link, but yes they do.

  • ddid you make the head or you bought it and then just put fur on it cause my dad thinks you bought just a mold but i think you made that head oh and keep the good work x3

  • I made the entire head framework from scratch yes :)

  • You are a master of fursuiting. I greatly admire your work. =^.^= Thank you so much for sharing your process with us! :D

    -Prisma

PS- I luv the music in your vids!! :3

  • Would it work well to use real hide to coat the framework, or would I have to shave off the fur and superglue it?

    I'm okay with either.

  • I wouldn't recommend using real fur. it requires too much upkeep and it not as malleable as fake fur.

  • @Beetle91 Plus the poor animals that were sacrificed...

  • @JusticarofHeroes and using real fur is cruel

  • honestly this made me laugh because of how fast it was lol but this is a great vid

  • i drank like 5 coffe cups just to lear nhow to amek a fursuit and they finally paid off thanks! that was AMAZING!! :D

  • Nádherné (cz), beautiful

  • what music is this?

  • can you make me an okami mask?

  • No. My commissions are full.

  • she doesn't do copyright masks :3

  • how much does your masks sell for, cause i was wondering if you could make me a okami mask?

  • wow that turned out amazing

  • Can you not buy them anywhere?

  • how do you know how big to make the stencils?

  • They are cut from a duct tape pattern as I say in the video description.

  • i saw on your website the tutorial for making your own start of a head but i wasn't sure how to put the bottom half together with the top, and i was confused on the part where you have the plaster: do you put the paper mache on the inside or the outside of the finished plaster?

  • how did you put the head together (bottom and top jaw)? balaclava?

  • how did u make the base of the head?

  • what did you make the head out of (the basic sketeton)

  • Hey beetle, try checking out J.Ennis Fabrcs if you haven't heard of them. They're a fabric warehouse up around the 66 and Yellowhead. It's where I go to get my fabrics. They have some interesting fur fabric there too :)

  • What you us as the base? and How did you make the nose?

  • Lol i knew the music was from Dirge of Cerberus....great job!! and ty for the tips!

  • Where do you buy the fur? And how much does it usually cost?

  • sry i accedently spamed u lol if ur still looking u can get it from wal-mart

  • I'm not sure where Beetle gets her fur, but I get mine at lots of different places. And the cost varies. Color, quality, pile length. Things like that all effect the price.

Try going to the fursuit community on live journal. Everyone is really helpful there. ^^

  • Good job ^.^

  • hello Im trying to make my own fursuit could give me a list of materials i might need for the face?

  • ey, wer u get teh fake fur? cant find anywhere, not even on ebay

  • faux fur... and you can get some at any fabric store.

  • love the lil brushing bits, tad bit of awkward humor lol.

  • love it =)

  • does she work for a company?

  • No, I work only for myself and for my customers. I'm a self-employed artist.

  • I think......I fell in love with you. Your the best, that thanks so much for taking time to make this video for all of us who suck at it all^^

I would so pay for one of your suits, how much you charge?

  • Beetlecat, you are my HERO and one of my favourite fursuit makers. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video for us!!

  • just something i found worked for me i made a baseball cap head with mesh around my head with a 1cm gap, with a fan in the muzzle it keeps my brain as cool as poss but i still seek the headless lounge now and then but it made a massive contribution to the cooling problem .p.s love the vid thanks for the post =^.^=

  • I'm curious about the hot glue. While easy to apply is it the best? Is sewing the pieces together another possible way to ensure a good secure head that wont fall apart? I'm curious as to if it would eventually wear and you'd have a patch on the floor due to the hot glue wearing down over the years or from being too active in it.

Wonderful video, it's great reference for people like me who's a very visual learner.

Love the music too by the way! What tracks did you use?

  • Hot glue works over a harder under structure while sewing has to be done over a soft one so the seams do not pull apart. I do both.

  • looking at the video, i did not see you pin the peaces of tape to the fur. i think it mite make it easier to trace the outline, if you are to pin it, so it will not move by mistake.

  • It does not matter if it moves slightly - the pattern is only approximate and I trim the edges to fit as I fur the mask.

  • Ah, well you are the pro so you must know what your talking about. Still if I was ever to do this, I would pin it.

  • Thanks for uploading, this helps a lot. Just wondering, what other than the foam base for the head, what did you use to make the antlers? Just curious because that looks like you spent a lot of time on them.

  • The antlers are papier mache

  • Thank you thank you

  • Hot glue.. but of course!

  • What material is the base(skeletal structure) of your head?

  • foam

  • :\ I've never made a fursuit and I'd like to know how. Can anyone help a noob out? lol

  • yea . . .not me peronally but type in paw tutorial fursuit

  • This is cool

  • omg you changed cloths halfwaythrough =3

  • how long do i need to make a fursuit?

  • about a week or two, but it is worth it.

  • I would think it depends on how much money you want to spend on getting pre-made parts or custom making everything from odds and ends

  • depends if you are like me and know nothing about sewing, buy the wrong material, remake everything from scratch, do that again, and change designs frequently.

  • youre my hero (:

  • This is actually really moving for some reason. It for some strange reason feels like you're bringing a new life into the world.

  • I have been a costumer for many many years, but I aways cut fur with scissors, and had a furstorm of cut edge pieces after, no matter how careful I was. It looks like the box cutter has less or no loose fur flying....or could I just not see it? Is it hard on the hands to use the box cutter? You made it look easy.

  • The blade needs to be sharp, but it's much easier than cutting with scissors and it keep fur flying to a minimum.

  • I created my fursuit in less then 40$ cause the place I get faux fur from was on clearance :)

  • where at??? =3

  • While I was watching, two main thoughts were in my head:

    1. The first 6 minutes reminds me of the background music for SimCity 3000, while the last 4 minutes of background music reminded me of The Sims

    2. In order to be a fursuiter, in addition to having an incredible interest in furry, you have to be very talented or moderately rich.

  • Actually, I created my first fursuit for less than $100.

So, 2: You gotta be very talented or moderately rich...or very bargain-savvy ;)

  • nice, good video, first fursuit head i made turned out great i had no idea what to do at first so i just shaped the foam then later on applied all this fur then got to the eyes, ears ect. XD but i really like what it turned out to be,

  • That looks really cool. I want to make one myself one day.

  • Iv wonted to make a fursuit for a long time but i cant foam is there a web site wear i can order some?

  • Yes, but if you order one its very, very expensive ^^;; like over about $800 for one fursuit

  • One Fur All studios charges $1000+

  • gawd that a lot of money...............

  • Don't know of a particular website but I would try places that might use it, like places that do upholstery. Or fabric stores. There is a place in Anaheim, CA that sells just foam, and I also found some at a large army surplus place, way in the back, so you just never know, call around.....

  • Thanks for the help iv found all but 2 thangs now the right lenth white fur & something to use for teath ^.^

  • Thanks for the idea i found some foam & now i only need 2 thangs to finish my first fursuit white fur tats the right lenth & something to use for teath, i was thinking of useing Sculpey fot the teath but im not sure
